I have 1.4 million air miles behind me, so I have stayed in many hotels. This was one of the best experiences I have had.
In addition to being extremely convenient for transportation, tourist sites, and restaurants, this hotel had:
1) Fantastic employees who were always cheerful and very helpful with suggestions and solutions to travel issues;
2) Very comfortable rooms with some interesting art work and hot showers with great water pressure. They were also incredibly quiet.
3) A filling breakfast buffet. I have only seen one better in my travels.
I had only two "issues." First, the bathroom lights were activated by motion detectors. Mostly they worked, sometimes they did not. But that is so trivial. Second, it was a challenge to find, as it sits inside a large building attached to the train station. From within the station, follow the signs for Tourist Information. The hotel doorway is on the opposite wall from that center, behind the small Italian restaurant. Or go outside to the south side (fjord side) of the building and look for the hotel's sign.
