We loved everything about our short stay. Only couple blocks from beautiful Lake Huron. Cabin is very well stocked with everything needed also sparkling clean
Loved the location, short drive to town and a few minutes walk from a peaceful beach. We had some rainy days so we spent time in the home playing games and watching a movie in the upstairs loft. We loved having a fire pit to make smores. The home was very well equipped and organized...especially the kitchen-which is so helpful when traveling as a family. My one recommendation would be a few more plastic cups...I get nervous with my kids using glass at rental homes. Thanks for the wonderful stay!
The location of this cabin was perfectly located to everything we wanted to do while we were on vacation, our only regret is we didn't stay longer! The cabin was great for our family of five; if I had to change anything we had wished there was a yard to kick a soccer ball around in or play some catch, but otherwise it was great and we would stay here again :)
This is one of the nicest rentals I’ve stayed at especially in the Oscoda area. We come up to visit family every year and are always looking for a place to stay. The location was great, super close to town and very close to the lake. The house was very clean, well taken care of and the kitchen had everything you would need to cook meals. We would definitely come back again!
We came from Georgia to enjoy a break from the heat, some golf and family time. The home was great for our needs. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked and time at the fire pit was relaxing. The short walk to Lake Huron was easily navigated. Lake activities, golf and kayaking on the AuSable river were all close by. We would highly recommend a stay at this home.
Safety/Communication Issues/Left Early--Only talk to host via Vrbo App
Took my 77y/o Mom here for Mother's Day. Left early after several issues.Rental not as advertised: fireplace didn't work, grill, bikes, and wagon were locked in the garage and host was reluctant to grant access (keys were hidden) because previous tenants "stole paper towels and TP from her." After a phone call, she followed up with a text asking us to avoid the garage as they had personal items stored there--we chose not to use grill, wagon, and bikes. The bathroom was not clean--lots of bottles and a dried up washcloth hanging in the shower, used towel on the rack, soap scum, hairs. Biggest issue--shower leaked from the top floor into the kitchen, onto/into the microwave. When reported, the host initially offered a refund for our last night, because she wanted to have it inspected immediately and we did not want to continue our stay during the inspection. We agreed, but after we checked out and the inspection happened, she rescinded the refund offer, saying it was not a plumbing issue and was therefore our fault; she got pretty rude about it. Following Vrbo policies and informing the host of a serious issue backfired on us.If you stay here, be careful about the electric appliances and shower. I recommend you ONLY COMMUNICATE WITH THE HOST THROUGH THE VRBO APP--she may not keep her word. Take photos/videos of everything, especially if you encounter any problems, as the host may be dishonest.Overall, not worth it. Many other rentals in the area to choose from.
Fabulous interior (oak), very nicely decorated, and all the amenities of home you may need. Comfortable and inviting. Nice wrap-around deck. Good location (just north of Oscoda), roadside park across the street.
Theproperty itself was nice and the location was great. the oudoor space was great for adults and children. The firepit was a big hit each nite. The cooking space was extremely limited, little to no counter space.
Beautiful property that suited 6 adults very nicely. The home is well appointed and so comfortable. Lk Huron is a short walk away and a definite "must visit". We would be happy to return!
