The gem museum, gem mine, Celtic settlement were great trips and the open-air swimming pool in Rhaunen was much enjoyed. We visited Herrstein twice! Klaus and Anna were really helpful hosts. "Die Wohnung ist genau wie beschrieben, der Whirlpool ein Traum, so wie auch der Garten, den wir leider aufgrund des Wetters nicht genießen können. Der Netto vor der Tür hat uns überhaupt nicht gestört, im Gegenteil, wir waren einige Male da ;) Von der Umgebung haben wir leider nicht viel gesehen, der Whirlpool war zu verführerisch :-D Lediglich unser Hausstauballergiker hatte mit einigen Allergikerproblemen zu kämpfen, deswegen leider der Abzug. "The house is large with well-stocked kitchen and many areas for relaxing, eating and sleeping. We did not know we had to reserve the bedding ahead of time, so had no bedding the first night. This may have partly be due to lack of clear communication as the owner's English was not strong. The house also was not as clean as we would have liked and some elements were not working properly, such as one shower. The washing machine was not available (as it is shared) when we wanted to use it."
