I enjoyed the tea set that was put for us to try. I felt so relaxed at this place. The location of this property is a 3 min walk from bus stops and right next to the famous sight spots of Kyoto. "My wife and I loved our time at this property. It has a very cute garden where we would sit and have tea. We also enjoyed the art display in the living room, which was all made by the host’s mother. The property is in an area away from the city where we could get a taste of everyday life in Japan, so we were delighted every time we walked to and from the train stations. "Very nice traditional house. Very clean. The host is very friendly and accommodating. However this house is best suited for 4 people or less, not for 6 people nor people that has problem going up steep stairs as the two bedrooms are upstairs. Also, with only 1 shower it is not convenient for 6 people that wanted to shower. The other two people had to find another place to stay since it was super cramped."

"This should be a nice place to stay. However it is an extremely noisy area during the night (despite being on a small side street). With a large amount of cars and motorbikes passing during the night it is not a good place to stay as the walls are extremely thin."

"Pro: 5 minutes walk to subway station, 7-11 and Lawson nearby, quiet neighborhood, standard toiletries all provided including laundry detergent, decent kitchen supplies, spacious room, balcony, Con: small area where bathroom sink is to put down toiletries, esp for a family of 4. No hook in bathroom to hang up towels or bathrobe. Instructions as to how to operate the hot water system and washer would be helpful. Construction nearby so kind of noisy in the morning."
