We had a very nice stay and enjoyed the location a lot. The view is amazing and the beach is quite close, just as the beautiful town of Orta San Giulio. Furthermore, we felt in love with the area and its flair. One thing stood out: the hosts! They are absolutely amazing. They where always there to answer our questions and give us some advice. They even brought us fresh fruits and vegetables from the garden. So lovely! When it was quite hot (36°C), Pietro even brought us very cold water. We are very thankful for our amazing holiday and those lovely hosts!

We had a fabulous time at Casa Canvesa. The apartment was clean and in a beautiful location. Pietro and Maria are so kind and helpful. We especially enjoyed the view from the terrace, the tranquillity (the train rumbling past occasionally didn't bother us at all), being 'away from it all' but close enough to go to the lake everyday for a swim, the animals (especially the dog!) and the delicious homegrown fruits & vegetables that our hosts so kindly provided. There is a little shop about 10 mins walk away that supplied us with all the extras we needed and a fantastic agriturismo restaurant about 15 mins walk away too. We hope to return some time and would like to thank Pietro and Maria for being great hosts.

Wir haben eine schöne Woche in Orta San Giulio verbracht. Die Gastgeber waren sehr aufmerksam und haben uns einen Korb mit Gemüse und Obst aus eigenem Anbau und zum Abschied eine Flasche Wein geschenkt. Von der Wohnung aus läuft man bergab eine Viertelstunde an den See und 25 Minuten nach Orta. Zurück braucht man länger.

Heerlijk huis met twee prettige terrassen op een heel mooie plek. Gastheer en gastvrouw zijn heel aardig, hun tuin met fruitbomen is prachtig.

Das Haus ist großzügig geschnitten und gut ausgestattet. Es ist gut temperiert, was bei heißen Tagen sehr gut ist. Leider befindet sich das Haus in der Nähe der Gleise und nachts fahren viele Güterzüge. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

Wir haben hier eine wunderschöne, erholsame Woche verbracht. Die geräumige Wohnung ist zweckmäßig eingerichtet und für den Urlaub mit Kleinkindern sehr geeignet. Unser 1,5 Jahre alter Sohn hat sich in der Unterkunft gleich wohl gefühlt und hatte Vieles zum Spielen und Erkunden (Schaukelpferd, Kindertisch, Kuscheltier im Kinderbettchen, Kaninchen beobachten). Er hat zudem sehr gerne auf der großen Terrasse (mit gesichertem Geländer) und im Garten gespielt und wir konnten den Ausblick genießen. Pietro und Maria waren sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Zudem haben sie uns köstliches Obst und Gemüse aus dem eigenen Garten vorbeigebracht – sehr lecker! Vielen Dank! (Hinweis für Fußgänger: Der erste Straßenabschnitt Richtung Ortschaft hat leider keinen separaten Fußweg. Hier muss man gut auf die vorbeifahrenden Autos achten. Wir empfehlen Trage statt Kinderwagen.)

Wir haben knappe zwei Wochen im Haus von Pietro und Maria verbracht und haben unsere Zeit dort sehr genossen. Das Haus ist so wie beschrieben, wobei die Lage durch die Bilder nicht so rüberkommt, wie sie tatsächlich ist. Der Blick von der Terrasse auf den See und die gegenüberliegenden Berge ist viel schöner, als er auf den Bildern einzufangen war. Ich habe jeden Morgen genossen, die Klappläden in der Küche zu öffenen und den grandiosen Blick zu geniessen.Vom Haus aus kann man zu Fuß in einer guten Viertelstunde zum See laufen, auch ins Zentrum von Orta lässt es sich gut an dem schönen Uferweg entlang laufen. Den Ortasee kannten wir schon von einem Urlaub vor 5 Jahren, aber wir haben auf zahlreichen Wanderungen rund um den See sowie auf Paddeltouren dem See die Gegend nochmal ganz neu entdeckt. Er ist und bleibt für uns ein kleines Paradies. Die Unterkunft ist zweckmäßig eingerichtet und absolut ruhig- die Bahnlinie haben wir überhaupt nicht als störend empfunden. Der Garten von Pietro und Maria ist herrlich- und dass wir jede Woche einen tollen großen Korb mit Obst und Gemüse vor die Tür gestellt haben, hat uns zu köstlichen Gerichten verholfen!!! Alles sehr lecker und schmackhaft! Pietro und Maria ein herzliches Dankeschön für alles! Die beiden sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit! Gerne bald mal wieder!

Wir verbrachten im späten Frühjahr hier eine sehr erholsame Woche - nicht nur der Ausblick auf den See und Richtung Orta S. Giulio, sondern auch die sorgfältige Gepflegtheit des sehr nachhaltig betriebenen Anwesens und die räumlich grosszügige Ferienwohnung haben uns sehr gefallen - eine unserer Meinung nach überdurchschnittliche Ferienunterkunft.

Viel Platz, tolle Aussicht auf den Ortasee und sehr nette und warmherzige Gastgeber, die uns mit Gemüse und Obst aus Ihrem wunderbaren Garten beglücken (Stichwort: Asimina) , stets hilfreich, aber nie aufdringlich, sondern im Gegenteil sehr zurückhaltend sind. Vielen Dank Pietro und Maria Grazia! Was die vielzitierte Bahn betrifft: Ja, sie fährt unterhalb der Terrasse vorbei, hat uns aber nicht gestört. Einige Hunde melden sich auch ab und zu nachts. Für uns ein rundum schöner Aufenthalt!

Die Wohnung war für uns zwei Personen sehr geräumig und großzügig geschnitten. Sie ist geschmackvoll mit allem ausgestattet, was man benötigt, alles ist sinnvoll und hat gute Qualität. Man hat die Wahl zwischen zwei Terrassen, je nachdem, ob man in der Sonne oder im Schatten sitzen möchte, das fanden wir sehr angenehm. Auf beiden Seiten sitzt man im Grünen im sehr großen Garten der Vermieter. Ja, man hört ab zu einen lauten Güterzug auf der benachbarten Bahnlinie durchrauschen. Das hat uns aber nicht groß gestört, wir konnten uns darauf einstellen. Viel wichtiger war uns die angenehme Atmosphäre in der schönen, sehr sauberen Wohnung, der tolle Blick und die netten Vermieter. Diese sind sehr gastfreundlich - wir wurden immer wieder mit tollem frischem Obst und Gemüse aus dem eigenen Garten beschenkt! Vielen Dank für eine wunderschöne Ferienwoche!

Wir waren mit unseren beiden Kindern, 3 Jahre und 11 Monate alt, für 16 Tage im Juli und August bei Pietro und Maria in einer Wohnung, in der es uns an nichts gefehlt hat. Die Bilder zeigen recht gut was uns erwartet hat, können aber die Schönheit und Ruhe, die Freundlichkeit und große Gastfreundschaft, die uns umgeben hat, nicht einfangen. Alles an unserem Aufenthalt dort war richtig toll. Vor allem für Kinder passt einfach alles - von der Einrichtung mit Kinderbett, Babybett, Kinderstühlen, Schaukelpferd, Waschmaschine und der großen Terrasse zum Toben und Kreidemalen über die Katzen, Hasen und Hühner im großen grünen Garten, die wir besuchen durften bis hin zu der zugewandten Kinderfreundlichkeit der beiden lieben und jederzeit ansprechbaren Gastgeber. Aber auch als Erwachsene:r kann man es sich hier gut gehen lassen. An heißen Tagen lässt sich die Wohnung recht gut kühl halten. Alle vier Tage erwartete uns vor der Tür eine Kiste mit frischem ökologisch erzeugten Obst und Gemüse aus dem eigenen Garten. Der nahe Strand (5 Autominuten und 20 Gehminuten) ist mit Abstand der Schönste am ganzen See, an dem wir ganze Tage im Halbschatten und im sauberen Wasser verbracht haben oder im sehr guten Restaurant Pizza, Pasta und Eis geholt haben. Auch der Ortskern vom schönen Orta ist sehr nah. Es war für uns vom ersten bis zum letzten Tag ein perfekter Urlaubsort. Vielen lieben Dank für Alles, wir kommen sicher wieder.

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit am Ortasee. Das Apartment ist nah am Ort Orta San Giulio, aber trotzdem ruhig gelegen und damit perfekt für Familien. Schön war auch, dass es ein Kinderbett und einen Hochstuhl für unseren Kleinen gab. Die große Terrasse mit Blick über den See war für uns ein Highlight. Hier haben wir gegessen und auch sonst viel Zeit verbracht. Wunderbar fanden wir auch die Gastfreundschaft von Pietro und Maria Grazia, die uns sehr herzlich empfangen und uns während des Aufenthalts mit frischem Obst und Gemüse aus ihrem großen Garten versorgt haben.

FRENCH : Ce qui est plaisant : la maison au milieu d'un très grand potager/verger et les bonnes tomates et légumes de Pietro. Les 2 grandes terrasses. Ce qui est moins plaisant : les trains très bruyants passant à 30 mètres devant la grande terrasse à toute heure mème en pleine nuit. Le spa tub mentionné dans la description qui n'existe pas de même que la bouilloire électrique. La douche très inconfortable. Les propriétaires sont très aimables ; encore merci pour le pot de miel du départ. ENGLISH : What's nice : the setting surrounded by an orchard and 2 very nice open air patios with furnitures. The good fruits and vegetables. What's less pleasant : The noisy trains running 30 yards in front of the house, even nighty. There is no spa tub as mentioned in the description and no electric kettle. The shower is not comfortable at all. The owners are very nice and Ready to answer questions.

Siamo appena rientrati , io e i miei due pupi di 7 anni, e già ci manca tutto! Una struggente nostalgia nella sua accezione positiva ( se n'esiste una!) mitigata dal ricordo di colori, profumi, sapori, atmosfere mai dimenticate e subito ritrovate: un personale viaggio a ritroso nel tempo, un tuffo nei fanciulleschi ricordi tra ombrosi alberi di fico dal profumo inconfondibile per chi ha trascorso tra quelle foglie e quei frutti le prime indimenticabili estati della propria vita ; riaffiorano immagini di luoghi e visi mai sopite . Struggenti scene di vita familiare, riti e rituali antichi, da non dimenticare, mi hanno fatto compagnia. Profumato basilico e sanguigni pomodori ci hanno rifocillato. Calura di fine agosto mi ha riportato a familiari latitudini . Vi sono riconoscente per questo mio personale " voyage à rebours ". Pietro e Maria , in tutto questo mio intimo viaggio, non ci hanno mai fatto mancare le loro attenzioni , rendendo il soggiorno ancora più piacevole senza quella fredda e formale barriera che spesso si crea tra proprietario e ospite. We rented the appartement for 8 days and enjoyed every day of it. The fruit and Vegetables we got from the garden were excellent, we cooked almost every night at the house, using the products we got from the owners. It is easy to explore the surroundings by foot, the Beach, the town and the Ferry for the lake are all within a 20 min walk. The owners are excellent hosts, we highly recommend this appartment and hope to come here again.

We found this a delightful place to stay the photos do not do it justice. With views over the mountains and lake from the patio a lovely spot to watch the sunset from. It is in an excellent position to explore the surrounding towns, countryside and of course Lake Orta. Pietro and Mariagave us a very friendly, warm and informative welcome. Pietro’s baskets of home grown produce (especially the figs) where most welcome. They also gave us lovely treats to come home with wine from Lake Orta and homemade fig marmalade.
