The hotel is definitely a bit dated, with older carpet and furnishings, and the air conditioner was loud and didn’t work particularly well — especially noticeable during a warm July stay on the third floor. That said, I was extremely impressed with how clean the room was. It was spotless, and that made a big difference. The true highlight of my stay was the housekeeper — incredibly friendly and genuinely a wonderful person. Her attention to detail really stood out. While the hotel could use some updates, for the price, it’s a great choice if cleanliness and friendly service matter to you. Would stay again.

The staff was very professional and helpful. The room was very clean and spacious. The hotel is close to restaurants and shopping. It is located in downtown Orofino.

This hotel is older but very clean and spacious. We only spent one night in transit but the bed was very comfy. The kitchen is limited in that it has only a few dish, skillet and utensils. It was nice to have a large refrigerator and a small stove to warm up food. I wouldn't recommend it for a long stay but it was great for one night. It is probably usually really quiet but we happened to be there on the 4th of July so the fireworks were close by and quite loud. Not faulting the hotel in any way for this, just stating why I can't say it ws quiet.

Nice place to stay.

Helgeson Hotel was great. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the patio and sitting around the fire table at night. Will definitely stay again.
