You can tell that "back in the day" this was a wonderful hotel that has just not been kept up. They are in the process of restoring it with fresh paint inside and outside. The staff goes above & beyond to help with late night check in, assisting with laundry if the machines don't work, and immediately attending to our tv when we couldn't connect to the sat service. The location is PERFECT! it is only one mile walk to Universal Studios CIty walk and park entrances (saved $30 parking each day) and had multiple restaurants, shops, and attractions that were even closer to walk to.

I payed for two king size bed rooms and did not get either they put me in a queen size room for the first room a double bed for a second one the first room had roaches crawling on the door no lie upon entering the room it took 4 days until the trip for them to actually change one of the rooms I didn’t even bother switching the other staff are really rude and not approachable I was scared to even asked anybody anything because of the attitudes and most of the workers claim they do not speak English which makes no since !!!

Found this booking on Expedia for $35 a night so I wasn’t expecting much. Turns out with their fees and taxes it’s $77 a night. The room wasn’t bad but wasn’t cleaned to the level of a hotel, more like a motel. The smell wasn’t offensive but it has an old building smell. The toilet didn’t flush so we called the front desk as we were gonna be out all day they would send someone to resolve the issue. Well we got back from our day and it wasn’t resolved. The shower had a trinkel of water coming out of the head no matter what setting. When mentioning the issues at the front desk upon checkout it was just kinda shrugged off, no apology. Saturday night we had a couple next to us with a small child. They were arguing and the baby was screaming at 1am. It looks as if someone is/ was trying to do some remodel but looks as if they did it themselves or hired cheap labor. The baseboards along the hallways still have tape on the floor where they were painting some time ago. This isn’t the worst place I have booked online so I don’t give it horrible reviews but the obvious can’t be overlooked. If this was updated I could see your price being justified and more for the area you are in. But in its current condition I think the $35 should have been the price plus tax, nothing more.

There were garbage bags in the hallway, apparently the guests left them there but the staff is not aware, they had very bad smell, the worst is that it was next to the ice dispenser, Also when I requested room service the person told me that I did not know if they would be able to do it, what is the reason to be in a hotel if there is no housekeeping? towels were broken, when I went up to the elvador the cleaning staff refused me entry and we had to use the stairs, probably this point is not important but at least they could wait for us to go down and continue with their activities, the most important can not charge their cell phones as the connections are in a very bad mess, we also had a water leak in the bathroom, I do not know if we had bad luck in those days or it is common that the hotel is in those c, We stayed a week, but I would definitely never recommend or stay again.

I wasn't actually inside this hotel much because I was in the theme parks, but the staff was friendly/helpful and the area was closeby to a lot of places. Beds were comfy and the internet was good. My only complaint was that the hallways smelled kind of weird (like a mildewy scent almost).

It is outdated facility. I was places in 3 rooms in 2 days. First one, shower piece broke. Second a/c stopped working ir never worked in first place. 3rd room was given, had no fridge (simpy missing) and room was not ready for guest, no towels. … after that i was out! I guess you get what you paying for.. still i would say it is lousy managed hotel.

Todo en la habitacion malo, los toma corrientes malos, la refrigeradora mala, las luces del baño malas, la limpieza ni la hacen solo tienden las camas no cambian bolsas del baño no pasan escoba, no tienen microondas en la habitacion como dicen, mucho ruido en la madrugada huespedes fumando marihuana, huespedes discutiendo entre ellos, hubo incluso agresión en una pareja que estaban hospedados, casi botan la habitacion a punta de golpes y ruidos.. definitivamente no vuelvo ni recomiendo a familias con niños este "hotel" o "motel" no es seguro

The pictures make this hotel nicer than it really is. Parts look dated and unkept while some things look newer. Elevators only worked half the time it seemed. You could hear anyone in the hallway, and the hallway smelled like marajuana even though it was ‘smoke free’. The mattresses were flat and mostly springs. The ac in the room seemed to not want to work, it kept turning off and on every few minutes. It worked for our one night stay but I wouldn’t stay again and definitely not if I was there for vacation.

I am requesting my money back because from the moment i checked into this hanted hotel as a single Mother all i could see is white smoke from people smoking God knows what. My little children were traumatized with the neighbors room as two girls were screaming from the top of their lungs with two big men blocking the door.This looks like a prostitution stop with little Mexican kids on the floor sitting spaced out looking out to the walls. Mind you our room had the lock yanked out so there was no way i could stay there. Bugs on the bed,sheets full of white sticky glue like substance. I was literally there for 1 hour and left. I went into an asthma attack from that aweful smoke that took over the whole haunted place. I need my money back.

Upon entering this hotel you could smell marijuana and Clorox. Staff were behind a long wall of plexiglass and uncleaned countertops. We hoped maybe the rooms would be better but in my room there were no pillow cases on the pillows showing yellow stains and thin cotton insides. The door swung open quickly while the other doors would barely shut closed. The toilet was clogged and small hairs around the toilet. It seemed like they tried to prep the room as the bed was made and soap in the sink but that was all. The ceiling also had a large bubble hanging down like it was broken or had a large leak. We did not feel safe or sanitary. I would not recommend anyone stay here who didn’t absolutely need to. Not a good spot for family. Seems like maybe some people stay there long term.

This place is dirty and kept . The staff lack standard Tourisum training and rooms are double booked . I booked two rooms paid for it and only got 1 the manager spent his night casually avoiding me . I am not saying don’t go here but do exercise caution as keys for already occupied rooms are being giving out. Air quality was bad to say the least, the charged my card 3 times for a 1 night stay. Be careful, I am sure this place could make a great turn around with a proper system and proper house cleaning , location is good though. 1/4 star out of 5 . .

The hotel was getting a fresh paint job while we were there so it was very weird to not be able to see out the window. But we only were at the hotel for a small amount of time. We spend most of the day at Universal. So we just came to sleep. It was 8 minutes from Universal so that was great! The beds we had were very hard. I wish has had brought my own pillow, not very supportive. But the people were very friendly.

There were roaches!! It was dirty. The staff were asleep. I got there at 5am. They didn't answer their phones. Did I mention there were roaches!!! there were black spots on the ceiling. hoping it wasn't mold, I'm attaching a pic if they let me. I complained like 3 times but then was afraid they would try and kick me out if I went on any more. expedia gave me a voucher for leaving early. Their rep couldn't even get the hotel to answer the phone either. It was the worst place I ever stayed. I don't mind entry level hotels as long as no roaches/bed bugs and it's clean.

I can see that this property is older and that is understandable. However - ants in the sink, a roach in the bathroom, a ring around the tub and extremely dirty doorways and baseboards was not what I expected. The checkin staff was pleasant with no issues but that was the only employee I saw until I checkout. The bed was comfortable though!

They rented my room out again while i was occupying the room and a man walked in on me around 8pm on Saturday night then the office came to my room and told me i was supposed to have been checked out but my reservation was until the 24th of March. Also they stated in the accommodations the pool was heated and it wasn't. The room was suppose to have a microwave and it did not have on. I tried to use the room phone to call the front desk and the room phone did not work either. I complained upon checkout and was tols to contact expedia for a refund.

bathroom sink was disgusting and didn’t work. Tv didn’t have a remote. Bed was clean and room was 3/5. Could use better attention to detail but I’d say it’s fair for the price. Wouldn’t stay there again unless it’s for a single night.

Definitely very old and out dated. I was on a non smoking floor yet it still had a very strong smell. The room was slightly better with smell. The bed were not very comfy, it was just basically a room and the bathroom was old as well.
