The townhome met our basic needs for our 7-night stay, but there were several issues that impacted our experience. We did not receive any check-in instructions before arrival and had to contact the host after check-in time to obtain the entry code. When we arrived, the electronic door lock had a dead battery and would not unlock, which delayed our entry and was difficult to resolve due to communication challenges. We also did not receive any checkout instructions before departure.Cleanliness and maintenance were also concerns. We repeatedly found hair on the carpets and rugs throughout the stay, and on multiple occasions our baby ended up with hair in his mouth after spending time on the floor that clearly wasn’t ours. In addition, the upstairs bathtub would not drain properly, so we were unable to use it for showers or baths during our stay. While this was the property's first rental on VRBO and there may be a learning curve, clearer communication, proper maintenance, and more thorough cleaning would greatly improve the guest experience.
