The house and the area was perfect for a family. Having a pool at the house along with a lazy river, splash pad, main pool and hot tub at the community center was perfect. The only downfall was some communication issues prior to our trip. We asked in advance if the was a pack and play and a high chair. We were told one pack and play and no high chair. When we arrived it had two pack and plays and one high chair. We wouldn't have dragged a pack and play and high chair with us had that been communicated. The rooms are also very quiet which worked well with young family and different sleep schedules. The house is very well equipped. Two bikes, two fishing rods, lots of pots, pans, cutlery, glasses, coffee cups and some storage containers. The house is great, prior communication is the only thing keeping this from being a 5-Star review.

They list this house as having a Jacuzzi. Well, they do have one if you don’t pay the extra to heat the pool you’re basically sitting in a cold tub. When I called to ask why the Jacuzzi wasn’t working, they told me it was a spa. No it’s supposed to be a Jacuzzi with hot water. The rugs and couches are filthy. The AC hardly worked. The downstairs bedroom was so hot we had to sleep with the door open just to get some air. I did call thinking that maybe they had control of the AC and gentleman did tell me that I can change homes but at that point it was too late and I had my grandchildren with me which two are infants. It would’ve been too much to pack up everything. We have been going to story Lakes for years and I think it’s time for us to find somewhere else to go. They are charging more money and we getting less. You pay all this money to stay there a weekend and then you’ll have to pay extra to use the barbecue. Who charges extra to use a barbecue? Like at this point they’re just nickel and diming you.
