We loved staying here! It was very clean and far enough from the hustle of Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, but close enough we were able to drive to both each day. We had all we needed for our stay here, and even a few extra treats! Kelly was attentive to any of our extra needs and feedback. We would definitely stay here again!
We had the best time here. The cottage is clean and very well-kept, and Kelly and Greg are sweet and helpful. The pickle ball court and garden are an added plus. We loved the homey, summery atmosphere of the cottage and warm welcome we received. And close to Acadia! We’d definitely recommend staying here for anyone considering this property. Thanks Kelly and Greg!
A very beautiful and peaceful setting; the cottage and the surrounding property. Our hosts Kelly & Greg were very attentive and were timely in responding to all questions prior to and throughout our stay. They both are very pleasant and very approachable. The whole family including their lab, Reme were very welcoming. We are hoping to soon return for another stay!
The house is absolutely delightful, with numerous charming details. The property itself is breathtaking and peaceful. Communication with Kelly was smooth and prompt. It’s conveniently located within an hour of Acadia, Bar Harbor, and several other towns. The only problem we faced was that my Android phone's directions kept leading us to a house down the street, although the iPhone directions were spot-on.
When I first saw the photos of Kelly’s cabin online I wasn’t sure I believed what i saw — a picture perfect representation of the July getaway to Maine we were hoping for. And then when we arrived we were blown away. The coziness of the cabin, lushness of the grounds and utter charm of the home Kelly and Greg have opened to guests was a dream come true. We ended up spending even more of our trip than we originally planned in the cabin and reading into the night on the porch together because we couldn’t get enough of the sweetness of the Loveshack. We are not pickleball players ourselves but we can only imagine this would be a dream destination for anyone enamored of the sport. My only warning is that Google maps and apple GPS are unreliable for navigating the neighborhood so don’t rely on your phones when you arrive — make sure to follow the signs and the mailboxes!
We had an amazing stay. This property was MUCH nicer than we even expected. It is a beautiful property and a very comfortable little cottage. I couldn't recommend it more highly.
This cottage was great! Very clean and cozy. Very well supplied. Did not have an opportunity to use the pickleball court. Great location and the hosts were very responsive. Saw deer on the drive up to the cottage. Would definitely stay there again.
Lovely cottage just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor. We were close enough to Acadia that it wasn’t a long drive. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with kitchen necessities. We saw deer in the yard several times. Kathy was very nice and chatted with us during our stay.
The pictures do not do this place justice! It was absolutely stunning and charming - both inside and out. It was perfect for a peaceful getaway and our hosts were outstanding! There are places to stay that are close to Acadia National Park but this place was just right! When we first arrived we especially enjoyed being greeted by wild deer and the not so wild Remy the very friendly resident lab.
A great few days at Kelly and Greg's cottage-beautiful private setting with gardens, open yard, deer and pickleball court.Yet still within an easy drive to Acadia and Ellsworth. Cottage clean, comfortable and well equipped. Hosts very easy to contact with questions.Would definitely go back. Oh, then there's the "welcome dog", Remy!
We absolutely loved our time in this charming cottage. Kelly and Greg have thought of everything needed to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. The cottage is situated just far enough away from the main attraction sites to allow us to unwind in a peaceful space. The sleeping accommodation met our needs perfectly. The kitchen is set up well with plenty of dishes, utensils, coffee and tea- well thought out. Super clean. We will definitely plan on coming back!
