"The cottage is in the perfect area to view the northern lights. It’s just close enough to the nearby town and just far enough to not get the light pollution. The outdoor hot tub for each individual cottage is perfect to sit in and watch the lights. They have the cutest ‘community’ dog that is very sweet and so well behaved. Just be aware if you are allergic to dogs! The bed seems to be a bit old and it was awkward to have just one side to get in and out through as the rest of the bed is up...

"Gljúfurbústaðir is a lovely place, perfectly positioned for exploring the South Coast or doing the Golden Circle. Very spacious. Hot tub a nice bonus. Not a big deal, but the hot water smells strongly of sulphur (low carbon footprint!). "

"Our stay here was beyond fantastic. A lot of thought was put into the design and comfort of the apartment. It was well equipped, everything was in working order, and extremely comfortable to spend time in. It was in a great location for driving to sites on the Golden Circle. There is a restaurant nearby, Restaurant Varma, that is in walking distance and it's a reasonable drive to Reykjavik or the Keflavik airport. "
