We spent a lot of time on the porch facing the bay watching pelicans, fish jumping and enjoying the refreshing breeze! We met the Styrons, the owners. Delightful people, who wanted to be sure we had everything we needed! Be sure to eat dinner at Wild Will's Revenge! We had the most delicious seafood there! We will definitely be returning!"

We had a small issue with the water smelling of sulphur but Kim was very responsive and called a company to fix it immediately. She was so helpful with any questions we had. The decor is tasteful, the home very comfortable, and Melissa was very attentive and responsive. We had one issue upon check in but Melissa was quick to respond and resolve it. "Stayed here for 4 nights, during our move out of the area. Home is comfortable and our daughter loved the kid touches. The basket of toys and books were so much fun for her. The beds are super comfortable and the rooms are well appointed. Two minor downsides, the kitchen showed some remnants of bugs. The owner said she was going to call pest control, but this was obviously missed by the cleaning crew. Additionally, there is quite a walk from where you park (near the garage) to the front door....

"We were in town for a wedding with family and had a great time at this property. It was exactly as described and was perfect for our situation. We could be downtown in 10 minutes with no trouble. The location was quiet and convenient to evening we needed. The huge tv in the family room was great to sit around with our group. We loved how remote and private the property was, which allowed for a super relaxing vacation. The kids enjoyed all the wildlife that nature had to offer and fishing from the beach area. "The house itself is pretty rustic, but the property is fabulous! The view from the screened porch was beautiful, and the morning sunrises were incomparable. There is no Wi-Fi, but there is plenty of fun to be had. We kayaked and enjoyed the waterfront deck all week. We did day trips to Ocracoke and Beaufort which were easily accessible from Cedar Sunrise. We didn’t fish, but you could fish right from the deck if you wanted to. The house is very basic, but it was nice to unplug for the week....

"We enjoyed our stay primarily for the cleanliness and location. It is across from a cemetery, but that didn’t bother us. Quiet neighbors, my husband said. But we loved the covered side porch and the comfy bed. Only down sides were the bathroom was very small, especially the shower, and the floors are pretty uneven, which would be a challenge for older guests (including the steep and slippery stairs up to the primary bedroom). Also, it appears that the owners suite is located just down the hall...
