About this property

Orford Beach House - Orford.

  • This older style cottage with 2 bedrooms and sleeps 4 with direct access to the water. There is a bike track that runs along the river front of the property. The river meets the sea directly out front and easy access for kayaks. The cottage has every thing one would need for a little get away by the sea, with amazing views of Maria Island from the deck. You can just sit and relax while enjoying the views.
    The house has one queen and one double bedrooms. There is a sunroom which gets lovely warm afternoon sun where one can sit and read books from the collection at the house.

Fantastic beach house

Clean, tidy, comfortable and fully appointed. Close to the beach, cafes and restaurants. We had a fantastic time and cannot wait to go back for another few days away. We cannot recommend Orford Beach House highly enough for a stress free getaway.

Beautiful house with lots of room and all the amenities that we required. It was absolutely spotless! A wonderful location by the river. Julie was a fantastic host. Communication was excellent. Highly recommend staying here to use as a base to explore the region.

Perfect location

Loved my stay with my adult daughter. Views and location was great. Cottage as advertised, old and quirky and had absolutely everything that you needed. Very easy communication with the owner. Will have to bring along hubby next time.

Happy in Orford

The house is homely and spacious. Great deck with super view across river mouth to Maria Island. We enjoyed walked daily on the beaches and walking tracks here and nearby. Plus a visit to Maria Is. All very relaxing.

Lovely quiet position. Clean as a whistle. Really well set out. Comfortable. Only downside was lack of internet access although this was solved with wifi tethering to mobile phone. Really enjoyable.

Such a lovely place to stay. Relaxing. Easy lovely walks right from your door. Fishing right outside. And so convenient as a base to explore. Plus we had the honour or meeting the garden resident swift parrots, amongst other beautiful birds of course!

Great family accommodation with direct water access

This is the second time we've stayed here. The house is older, but comfortable. It's a great place to stay with children, there is direct access to the river and a small beach. Magnificent view from the main bedroom and balcony. The main beach is only a short walk or ride. Having access to the canoes and a safe area to use them is a bonus for the children.
