"Overall the hotel was fine. If you look at the hotel pictures and think of going up to the bar with the view of the capital for a nightcap or whatever ... think again because "regular" guests are not allowed in there - you must reserve a special and more expensive room to gain access. We were told that it was an extra $100 a night to have a room where access to the view bar was included. We were disappointed. No tea in the room, only coffee. You can go to the front desk and get a tea bag ... we, as tea drinkers, were not told this but did find a dumb little note in the room which said we needed to get a tea bag from the front desk, really? Tea bags cost pennies. The creme rinse in the shower was not good. The restaurant was closed for dinner the night we were there ... went to The Old Fashioned bar and grill a block away which was EXCELLENT - highly recommend. And if you are tired of Starbucks (one in the lobby) try Michelangelo's coffee shop around the corner - a local place, which was also EXCELLLENT and FUN. "

"Rooms are a lot bigger than you think! Everything you need for your stay in Madison. Not sure if you could park in the street, but be warned that if you park in the the garage there is an extra fee per day. Very convenient and worth it as it’s covered and warm in there. Close to everything. Great place to stay!"
