Spend your mornings sipping coffee and evenings sipping cocktails on the private deck overlooking West Sound while you watch for whales. Inside, you'll find an open layout and a warm, cabin feeling courtesy of the knotty pine ceilings and walls. Three levels offer plenty of room for the whole group to spread out, and the full kitchen offers everything the chef needs to cook up a feast, or just a snack to fortify you while you explore. Family vacation

This home is great. The setting with a clear view of the harbor, the large deck, large bedrooms, bunches is sleeping space - it is a great place to relax. It is also a convenient 2 minute drive from the ferry .

Absolutely beautiful property right next to the ferry! Super convenient and a lovely space. The kitchen has all of the dishes and utensils you’ll need and almost every room has a balcony which is really nice. We had 9 people staying and it was the perfect space for everyone to have their alone time but still gather together

Owl House, Orcas Island

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Owl House. The multiple rooms - bedrooms, den, dining area, living room, bathrooms - gave all of us Lots of room to "do our own thing" as well as gather together. The views from the deck are wonderful, we saw beautiful sunsets and the northern lights! Each bathroom has a unique feature in it and the living room-dining area are very nice.

Charming

Place was great and made even better with an amazing view! We had the whole family (9 of us) and there was plenty of room for all without feeling like we were crowded. We really loved the two cats that would visit and hang outside with us!

Big house, amazing view, areas for people to relax

It’s an amazing location. Beautiful views from the decks. Areas for people to be together and also retreat. We had fun family meals at the big table. Great board games, a separate table for puzzles. Just perfect for our family. Many thanks for sharing this house with us. We truly made lasting memories.

The proximity to the Ferry port from Orcas Island and to a small grocery store is certainly a plus. There is also a magnificent view from the main deck of the property. There is no doubt that the property is showing its age and older construction style, but the condition and cleanliness is as best as possible with the aging property. We would consider returning to this location.

Everyone loved the view and the close proximity to the ferry terminal. It was very convenient to ride the ferry with our bicycles to the various islands. The accommodations worked out perfectly. We saw a small pod of orcas from the deck our last night. Would certainly recommend it to friends.

Owl Lane Home a/k/a the quirky turkey house

This was a fun, interesting, quirky house to stay in. We were there for three nights and it provided pretty much what we needed. Our first morning there, the sunrise was just spectacular. A great way to start our day. As we prepared to hit the island, we were greeted by about 7 turkeys who were quite friendly. Absolutely loved that! We didn't see them again until our last day. They came to say good bye. The evenings we were there, it was nice to watch the sun set with a nice glass of wine. Even with the architectural oddities of the house, I would totally stay again.

Quirky, spacious, cozy

Overall a great house for our family. Though dated and past due for many repairs, this house has character, great views, and was very comfortable for our family of four. Located within an easy walk of the ferry, it was a great launching point for exploring Orcas. The kitchen was well fitted with utensils and cooking accouterments, though lacked oil, seasonings, and coffee. Although there are great views of the sound and islands in the distance the windows were dirty and the glass doors onto the upstairs deck were fogged over and need replacing. As other reviewers have commented, the basement is musty and we discovered a leak in the room with the washer/drier that made the floor wet.

Eclectic Home on Orcas

The home is sitting up on the hill just above the ferry terminal. It has a wonderful view to the west of Wasp Pass where you can watch the boats travel from the comfort of the deck. I call this home eclectic as it mixes several themes. From a spiral staircase leading either up to the master bedroom with sweeping views or down to an almost cave like environment below the main floor. A disappointing item was seeing the wood burning stove in the pictures only to be told that it was not to be used and since our stay was late October it would have been nice to have a warm fire in the stove. That is the main reason for the lower rating.

Had a really nice stay at Owl Lane. Very clean and spacious. Plenty of pans and dishware, with a well functioning dishwasher. Great to have three full bathrooms. View of the water and sunset. Nice seating areas. 10-15 minutes drive to Eastsound. Walkable to the ferry landing for a day trip to Friday Harbor.

Lovely tucked away cabin with incredible view.

This cabin/home has everything a large family could need. Equipped kitchen, lots of beds, open living/dining room, and breathtaking deck views. It’s definitely an older home, but notable effort in trying to keep up with it. It seems like this home doesn’t get touched much in the off season because when we arrived, everything was “clean” but also had a deep musty, stuffy smell that finally went away after a few days of “airing it out”, cooking, coming & going. The side deck could use some repair but the main back deck was just perfect and the view is just breathtaking. I would stay here again, and it has a decent price point.
