Olivehurst Holidays from NZ$2,935

The property could use a renovation. AC was extra loud which interrupted our sleep, carpet was soggy, dirty and old, lighting was terrible and water pressure wasn’t strong. Staff was kind, but I’m glad our family didn’t need to stay for more than one night.

My girlfriend and I recently stayed at Eden Roc, and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing due to concerns about the room’s cleanliness and overall condition. During our stay, I discovered an insect lying on its back on the floor, as shown in the attached photo. Additionally, one of the beds had a noticeable dirt stain, which raised concerns about whether the room had been properly cleaned and whether the bedding had been changed before our arrival. Guests expect a clean, sanitary, and comfortable environment, and finding these conditions was unacceptable. The room clearly needed more attention to housekeeping, and the sheets and bedding should have been properly inspected and changed to ensure a clean sleeping environment for incoming guests. What made the experience even more concerning was what happened after we checked out. While my girlfriend and I were driving home, we both began experiencing itching. Once we arrived home, we noticed that we had both developed what appeared to be insect bites. This was extremely frustrating and concerning, especially considering the condition of the room and the insect we had discovered during our stay. Although we cannot confirm where the bites originated, the timing and circumstances have left us questioning the cleanliness and sanitation of the room. A hotel stay should be relaxing, not something that leaves guests worried about bringing insects or potential pests home. I sincerely hope management takes this complaint
