Very cozy hotel. The staff is very helpful. The hotel is far from everything but you know this already if you are looking at this hotel. The only option for dinner in the area is in the hotel but the restaurant is very good. The rooms are spread in the hill and in some cases there were a lot of steps to get to the room from the lobby. It was an issue when we wanted to take our luggages down to the lobby for check out. There are some activities in the hotel but none of my interest… I stayed here to be close to Cala Gonone port (30 minutes by car) from which we had a day boat trip which was great visiting the best beaches Sardinha has to offer.
This is a truly special place. The spaces are unique, the staff are wonderful, the rooms were spacious and thoughtful but it’s hard to put into words just what makes this place so special. I do t think there’s anywhere like it. I will definitely be back.
We loved our stay at Su Gologone. It felt in the middle of nowhere, which was very cool, and had a fun, colorful, historical spirit. The staff were kind and very helpful, the pool was beautiful and relaxing. There were so many activities at the property, and they can help make other reservations in the area (def recommend a boat trip). The dinner in the garden was unforgettable, and we enjoyed it so much we had dinner in their other restaurant another night. Breakfast was generous and delicious. There was incredible art and museum-quality artifacts everywhere. I will say the beds were quite hard, and the bathrooms could use a little updating, but everything was clean and thoughtfully supplied. Would absolutely recommend!

It’s quite a unique property nestled up at the foot of the mountains. It feels like being in Mexico - both for the vegetation and the architecture. The bar up the hill is great and the nighttime patio dining is very convivial. Notable were the pastas. Staff was also super friendly. We also had great massages. One thing to note is that the property seems a bit tired. The photos definitely show better than the reality. The AC in our room didn’t really work either. Still recommend going for a couple nights. It will be a memorable experience!
Rustic Charm! Lovely experience! Don’t be put off by some of the negative reviews- especially the ones about luggage support and service. The service was perfect. There’s much to love about this place. It’s not a luxury resort so if that’s what you’re after this is not your place but it’s a unique property, quaint, charming and cozy in a scenic, quiet area away from everything. Our room was nicer than expected and comfortable. Overall it was better than expected. The restaurant was actually not as good as expected although it’s charming and dry busy. We had dinner there two nights in a row. One night the service was great. The second night it was abysmal. The food was unremarkable but very inexpensive.
Unique property that is very photogenic and full of surprises. We particularly loved aperitivo hour at the panoramic bar - beautiful views and excellent service. We ate at the restaurant every night we were there and everything we tried was delicious. We wish the air conditioning had been a bit stronger in our room as it was warm and a bit stuffy at night.
Stunning situation at the foot of the mountains, so great views. Excellent breakfasts. Large open-air unheated swimming pool. Impressive Sardinian artworks adorn the public areas. My only two criticisms are pushy receptionists trying to up-sell “extras” on check-in and, if staying over a weekend, check whether or not they have a wedding on because this is a popular wedding venue and wedding parties tend to takeover the hotel.
Beautiful setting, lots of different areas, lovely food, great view, large swimming pool.

We will never Jude Expedia again.
We were booked 2 times for the same Hotel and I was told it is not the hotels problem. We would have to get a refund from Expedia.
That is impossible to get a person on the phone.
Su Gologone is an immersive Sardinian experience where you feel the rustic, rugged beauty of the mountains and rock formations of this island. our suite was spectacular; two levels, two full bathrooms, two terraces each with its own outdoor soaking tub. the food was delicious and very fairly priced considering the isolation of this resort--they could charge anything they want because it's so remote. But they don't. and the portions are huge, my husband and I shared some meals. Christian, the concierge and everywhere guy, was beyond helpful and attentive. took care of our every request from recommending wineries to providing comfortable quiet seating at the outdoor bar terrace where the loud music bothered our friends. Rooms were in impeccable condition; the landscaping is rustic; half the plants were stressed or dying, but it had been an incredibly hot summer and we were there in the fall, so understandable the plants weren't at their peak. the pool is lovely although the grass around it is muddy and there are bugs that bite, beware to bring bug spray. our only complaint is lack of comfortable seating--they have authentic ladder back/woven rush seat chairs in the dining room, suites/rooms and various public locations, and they are miserable to sit in, even if they are "local" and cute. comfortable dining chairs would be a huge plus in our opinion. we really couldn't wait to finish breakfast or dinner just to get out of the chairs.
Best hotel ever, absolutely gorgeous. Amazing pool incredible food, some of the best pasta of my life. Such a fun, beautiful space so many cool areas to explore. This was the best place we went in Sardinia, highly recommend! Only complaint - bad coffee. Otherwise, just perfect
Unique room with everything you needed. Lovely outside area to sit. Something to be aware of is that your room may be up lots of steps, may not be super practical for everyone but not an issue for us and I imagine there are accessible rooms for those who need them. Amazing views of the local area, particularly from a fantastic bar near the top of the site. Understandably this was closed due to rain one day we visited. An abundance of local crafts available to purchase if desired. One of the jets in the spa bath in the room had come loose and shot water into the air, the bath also took a long time to fill. We would have appreciated complimentary daily water in the room as per other similar hotels. Lovely pool which we didn’t use as a little chilly but would be great in summer. Would definitely return.
Pros:
Great if youre 60 years plus.
Restaurant and food were very good
Big pool
Incredible view
Cons:
Expensive
“Experience” were all booked up
Mini putt was unkept and therefore not usable
Jacuzzi was cold and not usable
“Gym” was basic
Honestly, if you like a fancy farm looking at their garden and chicken coop, its great. Theres a library with old books and a store selling plates glassware and painted rocks for pretty high prices but take pride that it was made by the locals! Great! Just doesn’t justify the $400 price. This place is good for wealthy old people who want to feel closer to Sardinian nature without the actual work.
One of the best travel experiences we’ve ever had. Beautiful place, a real gem, every corner and detail curated with artistry and vision. The food wildly simple and delicious, great wine list of Sardinian wines, perfect service and helpfulness, incredible views, the hotel rooms comfortable and cool and tasteful, the pool clear fresh water from the spring which is a national monument. We plan to go back to this extraordinary place, bringing family and friends.
