"We chose the hotel on the basis of the photos of the old monastery and its cloisters, and it didn’t disappoint. An initial problem with our allocated accommodation was quickly and efficiently dealt with, and we were given a very pleasant two bedroomed apartment on the first floor (easily accessible by lift for anyone with limited mobility) with seating area, dining table and kitchenette. There was a large bathroom with walk-in shower and a separate loo, which was handy for four people sharing. Everything was immaculately clean. Our only quibble was a lack of anywhere to hang clothes, particularly as the rooms were big enough to accommodate at least a rail with hangers. The location of the hotel is excellent - just a stone’s throw from the Place des Cordeliers and within easy walking distance of the fantastic Place de la Libération and the palace of the Dukes of Burgundy. The breakfast, served in one of the vaulted rooms of the monastery, was really excellent. A generous, comprehensive selection of high quality food which set us up for the day."

"Incredibly central location that allowed us to easily walk everywhere in town. The staff was very helpful and accommodating, even for a large group of people like ours (9!). Very hard working staff made our stay a memorable experience. Only one warning: you will need to park your vehicle in a public parking just about 100 meters away. Great bargain for the money!"

"The staff was very helpful, the rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable and the location was great! My only complaint was the bedroom size. I experienced many hotels that have small rooms but this room was so tiny that two people could not pass each other without turning sideways. There was no actual bathroom. Just a water closet and the sink and shower were a part the room."

"The Darcy is arguably the best located hotel in Dijon, directly at the arch and 10 minutes from the train station. I prefer smaller hotels so this was perfect. I enjoyed my room very much, which apparently had been recently refitted and renovated. All counter surfaces, carpet, bathroom fixtures, bedding, paint, furnishings and lights were new. The windows are soundproof with nifty electric blackout shades between the glass panes. Front desk staff were friendly, smiling and made eye contact when they greeted me. Breakfast was good, but a little pricey. It was a surprisingly affordable stay overall however. I would go back!"
