My husband and I stayed here for a quick weekend getaway and loved our experience! The location was perfect - located near restaurants, shops, and the beach - and the room was clean and charming. We will definitely be back!
We loved staying in the historic pharmacy. We stayed in the Ann Petry room and it is well appointed, clean and charming. The property sits on the town's main street and is very walkable to shopping and dining. We look forward to our next stay.
Cute bnb on top of Cocotte. Nicely decorated and comfortable. I only saw 1 trash can - wished there were another since I stayed 3 nights and almost filled up the
trash can in the bathroom on the last night.
It was a little easy to hear the church bell across the street. Also, I stayed over the July 4th weekend, and some local youths were chatting loudly from late night to past midnight in front of the BnB, which was annoying.
Room was pleasant and clean, although small. Bathroom fixtures all new and very clean and functional. Firm bed, which I appreciated. The stairs are steep though there is a firm railing.
I didn't realize that we would get a breakfast voucher as opposed to a true B&B experience. The restaurant provided was friendly and the food all looked great but unfortunately didn't have much flavor. The Paperback Cafe nearby had tastier choices.
Make sure that you get their email about how to get in because there is no one on site and when we arrived after dark, the front of the building wasn't lit because the entry is in the back.
On our first morning, we got a text about our credit card payment not going through. The owner and manager were both responsive but given that they weren't on site, a friendlier tone (i.e., assuming that there might've been a mistake in their information, which there was!) would've been appreciated.
It's a lovely place in an excellent location but perhaps slightly expensive given that they are not providing a full B&B experience.
Great stay! Will hope to stay again- just what I needed. Minor: refill of coffee cups and clearing of drains for easier water flow prior to occupancy. However, loved the Hepburn theme and the stillness

Liked: Cleanliness
It was a nice space. Lovely shower area, comfortable bed. Our only issue was no ac that we could locate and the windows didn’t open so it was a little warm in the room at night.
quiet and safe, close to everything yet off the 'main' part of the road. bright and airy, loved the room and decor was gorgeous. we were already at the beach, didn't need to see more beach decor. pass to harveys beach was nice, but the beach was gross. breakfast voucher was great, restaurant was quick and delicious

Disliked: Cleanliness
We loved the convenient location and beautiful historic building, but we were very disappointed in the level of cleanliness (a layer of dust on shelves and fireplace, cobwebs under furniture). There were some other issues (loose shower head, broken coffee maker). There's no one on site to address in person. It's a lovely place, but needs some attention. For the price, it should be better! :(
