With the continued impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, travelling now comes with a few more challenges than usual. Read through these useful tips before jumping on your flight to Oland:

• Before you book a flight, find out if any travel restrictions or bans apply — in both your origin and destination. Get the latest updates by checking government and airport websites.
• Keep your face mask on during airport screening. A TSA employee will require you to temporarily lower your mask for identification purposes.
• To reduce the possibility of cross-contamination, position your boarding pass on the scanner yourself and then hold it up for inspection. Do not hand your pass directly to a TSA officer.
• TSA now allows passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on luggage. This will have to be removed from your bag and submitted for screening.
• Empty everything from your pocket, like your wallet and phone, and put them in your carry-on rather than the bins. This will reduce handling during the screening process.
• If you want to take food on board, place it in a clear plastic bag and then into a screening bin. This lessens the likelihood that a TSA officer will need to touch your food container or carry-on bag for inspection.
