This hotel was nice and clean and convenient to restaurants and OU. It suited our needs very well. It's a bidget-friendly hotel that is also safe and clean. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was your typical fare, perhaps somewhat sparse, but it was a decent breakfast. No complaints from me!

Sure Stay Norman 1/14/24
Place is in a nice location, but in much need of repair. The curtains had tears on both panels, the telephone was broken, and the outside door light was just a wire hanging with no socket. The toilet was like a kid’s and hurts your back to get that low and the hair dryer cord hangs over the bathroom light switch. The pool was not heated so cold and only 4 foot deep. Breakfast was biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, muffins, fruit, and waffle maker.

The headboard fell off the wall hitting my 16 month old baby in the head and smashed her hand. The heaboard was not properly secured to the wall. It was a heavy wooden headboard held up by one screw that wasn't even placed in a stud, so it just ripped out of the sheet rock. The manager didnt seem too concerned with the incident. They just instructed the employee to move us to another room and go rehang the headboard (unsafely). One of the pillow cases was dirty, the comforter had cigarette burns on it and was stained. The carpet was coming up and I stepped on carpet staples with my bare foot. Everything is very outdated and falling apart. The swimming pool was so cold you could not go in it. On a positive note there were no bed bugs or other pests. The continental breakfast was very good as well.

Good clean beds!
We had two rooms. They were clean and tidy. Wanted to save points by not having room cleaned every day but didn’t know I had to request it so early. One night had roaches in one of the bathrooms. One of the smoke detectors didn’t have a battery. The pool heater was out. And then we got double charged. Still trying to get that corrected.

Unpleasant Stay
Upon arrival, we checked into our room and left for a few hours. We returned to find our key card non-functional. Despite multiple trips to the front desk for replacement key cards that never worked and an eventual visit from a staff member to the door, we were told the door was unopenable and were relocated to another room, separated from our belongings. The next morning, a different employee effortlessly accessed our original room using a computer system. Despite the hassle and inconvenience, the hotel declined any form of compensation, justifying it with "we completed our reservation." Highly displeased with the service and won't be returning.

My wife and I have stayed at the SureWest in Norman OK for the past several years during Homecoming weekend at OU mainly due to the low price, convenient location and amenities. The cost of other hotels in Norman has skyrocketed and this is one way to save on expenses.

Bed sheets had not been changed and obvious hair in the bed from previuos occupants. Sink and bathroom counter soiled with toothpaste and obviously had not been cleaned. We demanded a refund and did not stay the night. Were told by the front desk that they were currently wihout staff to clean rooms. Sounds illegal/unethical to offer a room if you cant properly clean it.

Little run down, but served it’s purpose. A couple of outlets didn’t work and the refrigerator was out, but they did replace it the next day when I brought it to their attention. Not a big deal.

This property is misleading in the comments. The entire property is dirty and unkept. Our room was filthy, it had a broker refrigerator, and there were stains on the bedding. The overall condition from the entrance to the elevators is filthy. We were given a full refund which was appropriate.

Indoor pool……best thing about property. Our 1st room had stains/dirt on white comfort and when we moved the pillow there was a small spider that started crawling. The room smelled musty and we asked to change room.

Booked this hotel so my kids could swim after a long hot day of baseball tournaments and checked in and the pool was closed and had stuff in and around it that no one cleaned and the room smelled like someone had smoked in it and there were spiders all over the room and half the lights in the room didn’t work
