Downtown Lakefront Home on Lake Chetek with hot tub & pontoon rental

"This Chetek lake home is BIG & spacious and very clean with beautiful lake views from most rooms! Easy, smooth check-in via use of an informative app we had to download. The beds were plentiful and were the most comfortable of any rental homes I've stayed at prior. Basement bedrooms did not feel at all "basement"! The huge main floor patio was used for coffee and conversation each morning however, tons of early evening lake flies didn't allow evening outdoor times. This left limited dining seating indoors around the table & counter. A few extra chairs would have been helpful along with a 2nd dining table in the front room "library" space which has very little purpose. Walking downtown to the a delicious bakery, the shops and ice cream desserts was frequent. Upon arrival, we did have to connect with our Host Brianna, as some of the listed items were missing but she quickly responded and had those items brought in or replaced. We would recommend this rental house to any large group!"

"Great for a just passing thru. Overall it’s a great place for the money. Also great if traveling with a boat or such. People are friendly, beds are comfy. No problem getting an extra pillow. Just needs updating and maintenance especially on the air conditioning units. Very musty moldy smelling. The only HUGE turnoff is the plexiglass at the front desk. Only sketchy motels use this…please take it down so guests feel welcome."

"We booked this cabin last minute, and at the time, it was the only one available on Lake Chetek for our dates. At first, we were a little hesitant about what we were going to have to settle for, but it turned out to be an absolute gem—and one I’m already planning to book again!The owners were incredibly welcoming and more than happy to share their beautiful property with us. The cabin was quiet, peaceful, and very private, even though it’s located right in town. The kids had an absolute blast fishing right off the dock and caught fish all week long!We’ve stayed at quite a few different resorts over the years, and this place definitely ranks at the top of our list. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, family-friendly getaway on Lake Chetek. We’re already looking forward to coming back!"

"Water access was not what we expected. We knew it wasn’t near the property, but to get there, you have to walk over a swampy area on the river and cross a wobbly dock. It didn’t feel safe enough to get into kayaks from there. The home was clean but we ran out of things because they provide a starter package with dishwasher soap for example. They said we could buy more and they’d reimburse but getting anywhere that might sell things like that was quite a jaunt because the home is on a gravel road in a very rural area. The owners are wonderful and overall the stay was pretty good. We had a really hard time finding the house because the name of road it was listed to be on was incorrect. We actually had to guess based on the general area where it might be. The road name was posted at the end of the driveway by the owners but the county doesn’t have it named by that name. We wondered if the owners named their driveway. It was confusing. If you stay here, ask for the county road names to avoid having trouble finding the home."

"Very clean, quiet property with all amenities needed. Relaxing setting in a somewhat secluded area with a lot of different wildlife. Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area."
