"Unique and fun hotel with an on site distillery. Staff was extremely helpful. I was especially impressed by the night manager Ryan. He went out of his way to make our stay easy plus he seemed to be helping out every where when he was not occupied at the front desk (clearing tables in the distillery restaurant, setting up the coffee & muffin bar in the morning, etc.). This is the kind of attitude that is only found at top notch businesses."

"We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Communication with the host was absolutely excellent. The cottage had everything we needed. We stay in a lot of VRBO cabins or cottages. One thing that we OFTEN find is the lack of lighting. Part of the problem is that we're older renters; we need more light. Having said that, this cottage was conveniently located and had a lovely back patio for morning coffees and reading. We had a great pub meal at Cantilever, almost across the street. We enjoyed ice cream in the evenings at Tara's, half a block away on the riverfront. I must say that I had the worst taco in my life at Looney's Taco Bar, but perhaps if I'd have chosen a burrito it would have been better. Not sure.If we were to return to the area, we'd chose to stay here again."

"Cute cottage with a homey feel. Beach access to Lake Rainey is a short walk from the cottage. Host was easy to communicate with. Grocery store was 12 miles away in International Falls. Home has a/c which was a Godsend when the temps reached mid-90’s in July."

"It appears when booking through Expedia that the host has more than one property available. The property we were directed to stay in was not the one we booked, but the one we booked was a few more dollars, had a nicer shower and slightly different seating setup. The unit was nice, very clean, convenient, but I would have booked the cheaper-priced unit if I’d known that’s the one I’d be staying in."

"Fantastic property! Made for fun family bonding, floating/swimming in Rainy Lake, fantastic view, beach, dock, firepit, awesome lawn, eagles, pelican, loons, ducks, clean, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, upper deck, lower deck. All around fantastic stay. Great family bonding investment!"
