Thunder Island Condo - Beautiful 2 BR 2 BA Next to Convention Center

****Important**** A Linen & Towel Package is included for all rentals between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend only. The package includes linens for all the beds and sleeper sofa, where applicable, as well as towel sets equal to max occupancy, a bathmat for each full bathroom and 2 kitchen towels. For rentals outside of that timeframe, guests will need to bring their own or we have a rental option upon request.

Purchased in late 2021, the owners have done an excellent job remodeling this beautiful 2 BR 2 BA unit with Bay views. There are freshly painted walls along with high-end laminate flooring throughout; the color tones are reminiscent of a high-end hotel. There are new furnishings in the living room, dining area and both bedrooms. In 2024, the owner added a new king bed in the main bedroom. The kitchen has updated cabinetry along with stainless steel appliances and is ready to make the cost saving meals at home. The owners even added a beverage fridge to keep give you extra room in the refrigerator and to make sure your beverages are cold. There is a washer/dryer in the unit along with Wi-Fi.
The outdoor pool is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day and is a wonderful way to cool off on those warm summer days. Attention boat, car and bike enthusiasts! Thunder Island offers boat slip rental and parking spots for your boat trailer between May 1st and November 1st. This is also one of the few communities that welcomes your enclosed trailer during car/ bike events. Last, but not least are those relaxing bay views that will be waiting for you at the end of your fun filled day!

Thunder Island is located directly next door to the convention center and should be your first choice when attending an event there. You will be a short walk to the beach (about 2 1/2 blocks), Convention center (1/2 block) Seacrets (about 9 blocks) and the north end of the boardwalk which is about twelve streets away. The great mid-town location makes it easy to get to all that Ocean City has to offer!

* Contactless check-in process. No waiting in line for a key.
* This is a non-smoking/ non-vaping unit.
* Sorry no pets allowed.
* This unit does not rent to graduating seniors or to parents renting on behalf of graduating seniors. Sorry, no exceptions. All individuals in a non-family group must be a minimum of 25. The minimum age for groups increases to 30 on holiday weekends.
* A Linens & Towel Package is included for all rentals between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend only. The package includes linens for all the beds and sleeper sofa, where applicable, as well as towel sets equal to max occupancy, a bathmat for each full bathroom and 2 kitchen towels.
* This condo is on the 4th floor. Thunder Island is an elevator building.
* Two uncovered parking spots are provided.
* The outdoor pool is open between Memorial Day Weekend and Labor Day Weekend
(We cannot control when any amenity closes due to an emergency or for standard maintenance.)
* Boat slip rental and trailer spots on the parking lot available on a first come/ first served basis. Application must be submitted to Thunder Island Mgmt office ahead of stay. Boat slip fee is $100 per stay and Trailer spot is $100 per stay.
* Easy access to the beach.
* The boardwalk runs from the inlet to 27th street. This condo is on 39th street.
* EV Charging stations, accessible for all car models, in an adjacent lot to Thunder Island lots.
* We provide a welcome packet which includes toilet paper and 1 roll of paper towels, dish washing liquid, and dishwasher pods.

Amazing condo with everything you need

This condo is perfectly located, has an amazing bay view, and the owners provide everything you might need. The decor was perfect for a beach stay and everything was clean and comfortable. We will definitely look to stay here again.

OCMD trip with family

The unit was very clean and nicely updated . The deck was amazing overlooking the bay ! Great sunsets and the pool is a hit with the kids .. across the street from the beach .. overall great place for family vacations.

Nice Beach Getaway

The condo was beautiful and very clean.Great location, ambience and lighting.I loved the balcony with an awesome view of the Bay and absolutely gorgeous sunset! Close to many attractions.They even had beach chairs and wagon! Family friendly for sure.We absolutely loved it and will book again next time.

Girls trip

Wanted a quick getaway for the weekend with a few of my girlfriends. Rental property was exactly as shown in the pictures. Maintenance of the property was great. View of the Bay was so pretty. Would definitely recommend anyone wanting to vacation in Ocean City.

We enjoyed our stay here. The property was as described online and very clean. The realtor brokering this rental was very responsive; they dispatched a handyman to clear a slow drain the next day. Great Vacation

We had a wonderful vacation. The condo was beautiful and exactly as described. Wonderful pool, beautiful view and great location. We LOVED the wagon for the beach chairs that were provided and the umbrellas were top notch. Only one complaint...it was HOT! Keeping the temp set to 72 was uncomfortable. Ceiling fans in the living area would have helped. Otherwise, we would definitely stay there again.

Clean, Good Location, Accurate Description

My wife and two kids (under 10 years old) really enjoyed this place. It was comfortable, the description and photos were accurate and the unit was clean. I had trouble (user error) accessing the unit via the keypad. But I called David who responded right away and helped me out. The location worked well for us - it was less than a 10 minute walk from the unit to the beach (and that's with hauling all the stuff for a family of four). For anyone interested: I would note this location is not that close to the boardwalk; but I also found we needed to drive to most places for dinner / mini-golf etc. anyway, so that was not a concern for us. The on-site pool was also very nice - clean and warm. Overall, I would highly recommend this unit.

Thunder Island Condo Review Just spent an amazing weekend at the Thunder Island Condo, and wow, what a gem! Perfectly situated. Able to walk to the beach or sit on balcony and view the marina, this 2BR 2BA spot is ideal for both business, family and leisure travelers. Comfort: The condo boasts cozy beds and stylish decor, making it feel like a home away from home. Amenities: Fully equipped kitchen, spacious living area, and beautiful views! Overall Experience: Whether you're attending a conference or just looking for a relaxing getaway, this condo has it all! Highly recommend!
