"This is a perfect holiday location....the apartment has everything you need & was spotlessly clean. Gengenbach is probably the prettiest town we saw in the Black Forest & a fantastic base to explore the region. We stayed 11 nights & used the train on the Konus card scheme every day bar 1.....great for taking the stress away & having a German beer or 2! Anja was fantastic in welcoming us & giving lots of tips on where to eat etc....she was always at the end of the phone if we had a question....

"We had a fantastic week in Martin and Petra’s lovely cottage. Lots of great walking (if hilly!) and cycling opportunities. We visited Freiburg, Titisee, Donaueschingen and a few wineries. Enjoyed the visits from the chickens and cats and watching the swallows swoop past. Very restful and highly recommended."

"Probably wouldn’t recommend. Firstly, there was no microwave. This was not a major issue but just an inconvenience because we were able to heat up food via the oven. My wife was very displeased with the fact that we adopted a used sponge for the dishes. The stovetop was very uncooperative and took forever to heat up and never heated to a boil for water. "It's all about location, and this is a prime one! The unit itself was clean and a great size for the two of us.
