Our house is centrally located at the Obernzell market, right by the Danube promenade, with all the local amenities within convenient walking distance. We live in the same house and are available to assist with any queries or provide trip recommendations.
Outside there is a terrace with a table and chairs, a parasol, a little fenced garden with herbs, seasonal fruit and vegetables. Bicycles can be kept in our garage. There is a car parking space right in our courtyard on the Danube side.
We offer around 60m² on the ground floor, cosy and charmingly designed, fully renovated and largely newly furnished in 2017. It consists of a fully-equipped kitchen-diner (ceramic hob with four rings, oven, coffee machine, toaster, kettle, fridge with freezer compartment, cleaning products, vacuum cleaner, broom, iron) with a corner bench, a living room with a sofa bed, a TV, books and games, Wi-Fi, a bedroom with a double bed (160 x 200cm), wardrobe and dresser with a mirror, an alarm clock, a bathroom with a window, shower, bath and WC, toiletries and a hairdryer, an entrance area with space for coats and shoes, slippers and an umbrella. We provide plenty of bed linen and towels, as well as a water and food bowl for dogs. In the apartment you can find various regional beers, Austrian and German wines, as well as non-alcoholic drinks at fair prices.
It is no more than a two-minute walk from our house to a bakery, butcher, Edeka supermarket, bicycle rental, all restaurants and the boat jetty for trips to Passau or Linz. Obernzell has a car ferry and a boat harbour. You can drive to the three-rivers town Passau in 15 minutes, or to the Upper Austrian regional capital Linz in around 1hr 15 mins., or to the baroque town Schärding in the Innviertel in about 30 mins. Obernzell is right by the Bavarian-Austrian border in the Passauer Land, with only the Danube both separating and linking the neighbours. Our house is an ideal starting point for leisurely walks along the river, more challenging walks in the Donauleiten and extensive cycle tours to the adjoining Innviertel or Mühlviertel in Austria. Thermal spas in the region (Bad Füssing, Bad Griesbach, Geinberg) invite you to relax. The Bavarian Forest National Park and the picturesque surroundings offer nature experiences. In Obernzell there is an outdoor pool and you can enjoy waterskiing or tennis.
Your four-legged friend is welcome on request, as we already have a dog and a cat.
