THE BEE'S KNEES is a cozy and charming dog-friendly, one-level beach cottage that is only a 15 minute walk to the ocean and less than a 2 minute drive (0.7 miles). This 3-bdr/2-bath one-story house is updated and nicely decorated. The back screened in patio opens to a shaded backyard with beautiful live oak trees and surrounded by a 6-foot fence. On-site golf cart rental. ***Installed in 2025- New LVP Flooring!!***

This is our second home that we visit regularly, and have made it comfortable & fun for you to enjoy as well. The house is 0.7 miles from the beach via the SE 9th footbridge (4 blocks over), or about the same distance via the Middleton Rd beach access.

The house has fast 600 mbps Wifi, with complementary streaming Spectrum (cable), and access to your Netflix, Amazon Prime, or Hulu accounts via the Smart TVs. The following has been included to make your stay as comfortable and easy as possible:

The home also has 1 dog bed and 3 dog bowls. There is a shop vac in the garage so you can vacuum out all that beach sand before you return home.

The master bedroom has a queen sized bed, dresser, desk, en suite bathroom with large walk in shower, vanity with granite top, large walk-in closet, and a 42" Smart TV.

Bedroom #2 has a queen sized bed, one nightstand, one small chest of drawers, 32" Smart TV, and a closet.

Bedroom #3 sleeps up to 4 people with two sets of twin bunk beds (upper bunks have pocket organizers to hold cell phones, eyeglasses,etc) and a nightstand.

The living room has a cathedral ceiling, ceiling fan, a microfiber couch, matching love seat, two swivel chairs, a 50" smart tv, and a gas log fireplace.

The fully stocked kitchen features:

The dining area has seating for 7 people, while the screened in porch can accommodate an additional 8 people (6 person dining set and a 2 person bistro set).

Bed linens and bath towels are included and beds will be made. Owners supply a STARTER PACK ONLY of shampoo,body wash,dish soap,dishwasher pod,laundry detergent,paper towels,toilet paper,trash bags. Additional supplies may be purchased from the grocery store.

Dogs must be booked in advance with a $175 pet fee paid at booking.

HOUSE RULES-
NO SMOKING/vaping in or on the property
Only 8 people are permitted to stay overnight-STRICTLY ENFORCED

Copy of license and signed rental agreement required within 48 hours of booking
A $500 security deposit hold will be applied to guest's credit card 2 days before arrival then released 3 days after departure
Please be respectful of the neighbors as most of them are full time residents. Town of OKI quiet hours are 11pm-7am

Did you know that we offer a golf cart rental?

It is SO much fun to cruise to the beach on our 2023 six passenger Bintelli electric (lithium battery) street legal golf cart. It has a beach chair rack on the back and built in bluetooth speakers so you can listen to your favorite music!

Golf cart rental fee is non-refundable due to operator error or poor weather conditions.

We will need a copy of you driver's license, auto insurance, and a signed copy our golf cart waiver and usage guidelines. Must be at least 25 years old to rent golf cart. The golf cart rental fee is charged after the house reservation is made.

Garage is not available for guest's vehicle use, this is where we store our golf cart . There is room for 2 cars in the driveway.
Mid-stay clean and linen swap out are required for stays over 21 nights. An additional charge of $250 will be added to your reservation.
Restricted thermostat- no lower than 68 for AC and no higher than 75 for heat.

Please read the binder located inside the house for more important information about the property and the island. Please note-House will be decorated for Easter and Christmas.
