TWO SALTY DOGS - Oak Island, NC

Welcome to our 2 bedroom and 1 bathroom home located on a double lot with amble room for boat parking. Clean, cozy house in the wooded area of the island. The house is walking and biking distance to the beach.

Our completely renovated home currently has 2 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom. One bedroom has a king bed. The other bedroom has 2 sets of bunk beds that are double beds on the bottom and twin beds on top. All living area is on the 2nd floor; garage area used for owner storage. Guests have access to washer/dryer downstairs. The house is on pilings and situated on 2 lots with ample room for boat parking in front or beside the house.

This home has an open floor plan between the living room and kitchen. The living room has a sectional sofa, ceiling fan and end tables. A large flat screen TV with Apple TV & VHS/DVD player. High speed internet with Wi-Fi is available for your use.

The kitchen is equipped with brand new appliances, refrigerator/freezer/ice maker, Keurig coffee maker, stove/oven, microwave, blender, coffee cups, glass wear, silver wear, wine glasses and all other standard necessities for the kitchen and more.

Check-In is 4:00pm EST and Check-out is 10:00am EST

If you would like to bring your well-behaved dog, please message me BEFORE making a booking. Dogs are permitted only with prior approval; $75 non-refundable pet fee (2 dogs maximum; no cats or other pets accepted).

Oak Island has more than 60 public beach accesses as well as fishing docks and 2 piers, boat ramps and many other access points to the ICW and Davis Canal making this the perfect location for fishing, boating, kayaking and other water activities. Oak Island is less than one hour from Myrtle Beach, 30 minutes from Wilmington, NC and 10 minutes from shopping & dining in Historic Southport, NC (home of the movie Safe Haven).

Great Time in Oak Island

We stayed from Sunday to Thursday. Weather was great and the kids had a great time. We enjoyed our stay and tge house was great for us.

Nice Stay

We had a wonderful short vacation on Oak Island and were very happy to be able to find a nice place to stay in a quiet area where we could relax after a long day at the beach with the kids. Great beach stay

Our family of 6 plus our dog stayed here for a long weekend New Years. It’s a fabulous property! There was enough space to house us all comfortably. The deck with the swing and outdoor tv are fantastic. The owners have gone above and beyond making sure all the essentials are provided for (dw detergent, cleaner, hand soap etc.) The neighborhood is quiet and wonderful for walking. We loved our stay and hope to return!

Long term renters!

We loved the property and the closeness of everything; especially the fishing spots. Being able to bring our fur baby without breaking the bank was a huge plus and the doggy door on the porch was a great plus for her to be able to stay outside without us fearing she would get off the porch and take off. It was incredibly quiet at night which was nice since I’m a light sleeper. Contact with the property owner was great! And getting access to the property was super simple. Will definitely be coming back to the area several times throughout the years and we will try to book this property or other properties owned by these people each time. Thanks for opening up your home!

Nothing special,

Have stayed at a lot of VRBO. And this place is cute but nothing special. No extra anything, no coffee, no information about the area and what special attractions to see. Nothing but extra expectations of the renter. List of cleaning expectations, even though you pay a cleaning fee and threat of a $50 extra charge if you don’t do all they say. Thumbs down. Travel a lot to Oak Island, will never stay there again.

Great Stay!

We enjoyed our stay at Two Salty Dogs. Great quiet neighborhood which made it nice to relax and enjoy some down time. Close to many beach access points and restaurants. Will be back. Thank you to the owners for providing great accommodations!

Great house!

I have never used Vrbo before and the whole process was so easy! The home was wonderful and comfortable, and the short drive to the beach was super convenient. We had a very nice time staying here!

Great beach house!

The house was clean and comfortable. The huge porch was our favorite place to read and spend time together. The house sits on a very large lot with tons of room for cars, boats etc. We rode our bikes around the quiet neighborhood. It was a great rental!

Great time in Oak Island

We had a great time at two salty dogs. We had a few questions and they were always ready to respond to us. The house looked great. The property is probably a mile from the beach so it's just a quick little drive. It was perfect for our family and our kids.
