We absolutely enjoyed our stay and cannot wait to return! The location is perfect.. right on the water, near restaurants and quiet! The dogs loved the fenced in yard, and we loved the massive deck!

Cozy beach house with a killer view

We enjoyed staying at "The Boys of Summer" beach house. The location can't be beat. It's steps from the beach, close to grocery stores, restaurants, and coffee shops. We enjoyed visiting the local lighthouse and nearby town of Southport too. The house was comfortable and perfect for our first family vacation with our dog. If you're looking to relax and just enjoy the beach this rental is worth checking out.

Family get away

This was a perfect location for a family get away. We had easy access to the beach, a beautiful view and plenty of room for everyone to relax. My favorite moments were coffee at sunrise on the porch, even in December.

Wonderful Vacation Home

The house was wonderful for our stay and the fenced in yard was perfect for our pups! The house was clean and stocked for our needs and the AC worked great. The renovated showers were excellent after a day of soaking in the sun at the beach. Beach access was an ease and the rocking chairs made the sunrises and sunsets very enjoyable. Mike and Chris were very responsive - we look forward to our next stay!

Wonderful Location - Steps from the beach

We took a short trip for spring break with 2 teenagers and had a blast. Every day spent on the beach. This house is steps away from the sand. Very cute house, comfortable beds and stocked with all the towels and linens needed! Can’t wait for the next trip!

It is right on the beach. It was chilly for North Carolina but I really enjoyed my time there. I did not have any problems with the unit and it was very clean. Hope to come back next year

Perfect getaway

The Boys of Summer was the perfect place for our vacation with friends. The fenced in yard was great for the furbaby. Can’t beat being right on the beach with the most gorgeous sunsets! Great, relaxed space to hang out right on the beach! You could hear the waves at night from two of the bedrooms. Our pup loved the fenced-in yard and pet-friendly stretch of beach!

The house was a great size for my family, I have 2 grown children with husbands, and then my mom and my Aunt actually slept in the “kids” room but it was wonderful having our pups with us it really made the trip for all of us.

A great trip

We very much enjoyed this cozy beach house! We are two couples, so it was wonderful to give each couple their own bed/bath area. The location is perfect! We found plenty of restaurants, beaches, and fun at this house. We also spent many hours just sitting on the porch watching the waves. Thank you for the full-size w/d! That’s a huge bonus!

Wonderful Beach Stay

We have stayed in Edisto, Ocean Isle, and once before in Oak Island. This stay was the best of all of them! The house was well-equipped and clean. It had a fenced yard and was close to everything that we needed including a large dog park. The owners were very responsive to our questions during the inquiry process, and the check-in process, and answered questions once we arrived at their home. We would highly recommend this property for a wonderful beachfront vacation!

Perfect Getaway

We loved every minute. The house was beautiful! We enjoyed the proximity of the shops and places to eat. The views from the bedrooms and living room were amazing. Luckily, the weather was nice, so we enjoyed eating at the picnic table, rocking on the porch, walking the beach, and relaxing in the hammocks. Our hosts were quick to respond & always very friendly. It was our first visit to Oak Island, and we loved it!

Beautiful View!!

This stay was everything we wanted and more! Right on the ocean, the view was fantastic! Walking on the beach everyday was just what we wanted to do, very calming. The Boy of Summer house was exactly as described and pictured, you will not be disappointed. The town was beautiful to drive around and while (in January) a lot of restaurants were closed for off season, the places we went to were great. You can be confident of getting exactly what you want booking this house!

Great beach house

Excellent place to stay, especially with a dog. Yard is fenced and back porch also has a gate. Very easy beach access from back yard of house. Able to easily transport supplies and dog back and forth. Great ocean view from porch. Walkable to great restaurants, 2 grocery stores, beach shop, and mini-golf. Town Park and Rec loaned us a beach wheelchair, which was also very helpful. You can also drive dog to nearby Caswell beach for off-leash time before 9 am.

Delightful week at the beach

This beach house gave us everything we were hoping for from our vacation. It was comfortable, cozy, and airy, with a layout that offered some alone time when we needed it. Best of all was its spot on the beach. Swimming often was effortless, and we got to experience lovely sunrises and sunsets every day. Just sitting on the porch watching a storm blow in felt special. We had one small need during our stay, and the hosts couldn't have been more responsive. Loved it.

Exactly what we needed for a getaway

Great stay at The Boys if Summer, even though summer is unfortunately long gone. Plenty of room in the house, comfortable bed and couch in the living room. Also very nice to see a place that has an actual large screen tv instead of a little tv in a corner. Yes I know it’s the beach but there are still some rainy cooler days where it’s nice to have it available.Yard was perfect sized for our four legged companion to be able to go out for nature calls. The two tiered deck was a nice feature with the deck chairs out in the full sun or having the option to sit under the covered portion.We would definitely recommend this location to anyone looking for a great location right on the beach and convenient to stores and shops without having other houses right on top of you.
