Historic beach front property with stunning ocean views

Welcome to Denmark! We are so excited to share this beautiful and historically significant property, located right on the best sandy beaches of Nyborg (this city used to be the capital of Denmark). Nyborg is in the middle of Denmark on the island of Fyn (first city over the big bridge connecting Sjælland and Fyn), about an hour and 20 minutes from Copenhagen by car or train and approximately 2 hours by car from Germany’s northern border to Denmark. It is very conveniently located about 20 minutes by train to Odense and an hour and a half to LegoLand. Nyborg’s indoor water park and local swimming pool is just down the street complete with a gym, sports center, tennis courts, and much more should the weather not be ideal. It is also right next to one of Denmark’s most beautifully located golf courses. Of course, the darling center of town has plenty of shops for food, restaurants, movie theater, clothing, gifts and a castle that is being restored to its original splendor. In the Summer, right out the door is a little ice cream boutique where you can get a daily dose of ice cream to cool yourself down. You can also walk in the woods and on the many beaches Nyborg has to offer. Renting a bike is also a possibility. The fishing waters south of Nyborg are some of the best places to fish in Denmark.

A little bit of history on this charming beach house: it was built in 1933, it used to be a party location with a grand ballroom where people would host all sorts of events. After that, it became a vacation place for children with diabetes. Many famous Danes have stayed here renting the property because if its history and amazing location.

About us, I am an American (classically trained opera singer) married to a Danish man (business entrepreneur) with 3 great teenage kids. We lived in the US together for 7 years before we moved to Denmark 10 years ago. I ran a B&B out of my home for about 6 years before we decided to purchase this dream property.

For me, giving that extra bit of service is in my blood. We supply all the towels, and linens in the house so you don’t need to feel like you have to bring your whole house with you and you do not have to pay extra for that unless you ruin something. We also supply shampoo, conditioner and body soap if you don’t want to use your own. We also supply kitchen dishrags, toilet paper, dish soap, tabs, salt and fluid to keep the glasses clean without streaks. We will thoroughly clean the house before and after you leave so check in will be around 5pm and check out will be between 10-11am. The cleaning fee is incorporated into the price but if you leave us an extraordinary mess to clean up, we will charge a bit from your depending on the amount of time it takes to clean it all up. We are busy so the less we have to clean in between guests, the more grateful we will be. We ask that you kindly remember to conserve energy and water whenever possible.


A little bit about the property.
First, there is a beautiful sweet, yellow, two story Summer house with a newly remodeled kitchen and bathroom, as well as stunning views from both the dining and living areas. There is a nice, large bathroom on this ground floor as well as a little bedroom with 2 beds. This house is perfect for a family of 4 or 5. The kitchen is fully equipped so making meals will not be a hassle. Up the stairs you walk into another living area where we can set up another bed for the 5th in your party if necessary. Otherwise, you can sit there and enjoy some television or relax with the family. There is a larger master bedroom upstairs which could accommodate 2 adults and possibly a baby. We could get access to a portable crib if you let us know in advance that you need one. There is plenty of parking on the premises and next to the premises so that will never be a problem. This is not a location for a party, unless you want to rent out the ballroom, but otherwise we like to keep our properties quiet and clean and we expect you to respect our home and treat it with kindness. We would like to kindly request that there be no smoking on our property, including outside and on the balconies. Should you wish to smoke, you are more than welcome to take a walk to the beach (one minute away) and smoke or walk down the street. Please throw what is left of the cigarettes into the trash and not on the ground. Thank you so much.

Our apartments all have televisions with Chromecast where you can cast your own subscriptions to Netflix, watch youtube or your favorite news website up onto the screens. We do not have television packages but you can see everything accessible on the internet on the television. Should you need a lesson, feel free to ask us.

Lastly I would like to mention that our property is located conveniently just off the great Storebælt bridge. The sunrises are extraordinary! We are however, close to the highway so there is a little traffic noise. It doesn’t bother most people. It becomes white noise after a while and you can’t hear it inside the insulated house. If you are very sensitive to noise, you may have an issue. Nyborg just received a grant to create a sound barrier from the noise of the freeway.
