⭐ 4‑Star Review – The Zanzibari Hotel My family and I had a lovely stay at The Zanzibari Hotel. The property has a peaceful, intimate atmosphere, and the ocean views are truly beautiful. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were warm, welcoming, and always willing to help when we needed anything. One thing travelers should know is that the meal options are limited, as the hotel has only one restaurant. The team does make an effort to change the menu daily, but the variety can still feel restricted, especially if you're staying several nights or traveling with picky eaters. Another point to consider is that there are no planned or organized activities offered by the hotel. While the setting is relaxing and perfect for unwinding, you’ll need to plan your own excursions or entertainment outside the property. Despite these limitations, we enjoyed our time here. The peaceful environment, friendly staff, and beautiful ocean setting made it a memorable stay. It’s a great choice if you’re looking for a quiet, simple, and scenic getaway.

Great location with a few minute walk to the beach or direct access down the stairs during low tide! The staff were great and they were also able to organize all the activities I wanted on the spot like local fishing and sunset sailing. This was the perfect place to relax for a few days at the end of the trip!

It was a good place but unfortunately for the price. I wouldn't say it was absolutely amazing. We had the ocean view room and while was amazing. The ceiling was slanted. I bumped my head few times because the sloped ceiling was very low and very close to the bed. So we couldn't get out from one side of the bed. It was also a relatively small room for the price, i didn't think it was worth it. The food was amazing. There was not really any amenities. There was a pool and you do have beach access but because of the high and low tide. Hard to swim. But that's for all of zanzibar

This hotel offers a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere with beautifully kept grounds, attentive staff, delicious menu items, and beautiful ocean views. It is very close to the bustling Nungwi area, where you will find shopping, restaurants, and fun boating trips, or you can simply enjoy the pool and lounge area, volleyball, and other activities. Great hotel for anyone seeking a breezy relaxing vacation. I had a great time!

The boutique resort is superb, the staff is super friendly and makes you feel welcome in every moment. The location is stunning and the rooms spotless. If you go for half board the 5 course menu is very good and versatile day to day. The Ocean view is amazing. You can walk on the Ocean during Low Tide. The private pool is awesome with ocean views. The staff was wondetful and on top of everything to ensure your stay is a great one! Laundry service is quick and done wrll. This is truely a hidden oasis and entry secured by gate and 24 hoIrs security.

Great place to stay in Zanzibar, in front of the beach. Staff is really good and does everything to serve. Location is walkable to restaurants and stores, through the beach or street. It was not a problem for us, but variety on breakfast is limited (at least the days we stayed there). This is a place to return.

This is a gorgeous , quiet boutique hotel. The food in the restaurant is fantastic. There is a small rocky orivate beach accessible during some tide times but only a 15 min walk to nungwi beach. Gorgeous views from all rooms and great staff!

Recommend 100%! Hotel staffs and receptions are very welcoming, supportive and helpful. All transportation, tour programs were managed by the hotel, very easily. The views from the hotels are fantastic, foods are great with its happy-hour cocktail.

It's a WOW!

Amazing hotel! Service was beyond any I've had and I have traveled all over the world. Food was excellent and we loved our room which was just steps to the Indian Ocean.

An oasis in a busy little beach town.

The staff at the Zanzibari hotel were exceptionally attentive and the service was always prompt. In a place where the main beach can be over run with tourists, it was such a pleasure to step into the quiet oasis that is the Zanzibari hotel grounds. This is a great gem of a property in Nungwi and would only improvements would be to upgrade the quality of the food, which was "safe" but very bland and to upgrade the plumbing issues in unit OC1.
