"Room was excellent. We had the third floor pool view at the z2. We found the z2 to be a newer more modern building compared to the z. So even though it wasn’t direct water access, we liked staying the z2 better and using the z during the day. Amazing breakfast buffet. We loved our stay. Gym at the z was excellent also. Had lots of options. Finally location was great. Near by walking distance to all restaurants. We prefer this beach over kendwa as well if had to pick. "

"The room was a ‘love shack’ on the beach which was nice, stepped out straight onto the sand with nice sea views. Staff were friendly and it has a pool. The inside layout of the room is totally open (no door on the toilet just a half partition wall) so you’re in for an intimate stay! The rest of the hotel felt confused, there are surfing motifs as decorations, it’s for families (lots of kids) so it’s not quiet and romantic; the food was unfortunately the worst we had any hotel we stayed in Zanzibar. We also wished we stayed closed to Nungwi as we had to spend $10 each way on a taxi. It’s the one hotel we wouldn’t stay again sadly. Loads of potential I just think they need to figure out their ‘vibe’. "

"The housekeeping was exceptional. The staff were kind. Views were phenomenal. However we did not have a shower head that worked properly. After three attempts in reporting it and nothing done, on our last day the house keeping staff finally took initiative to get it replaced. "
