"We had the best spring break trip here with our two sons. The property was comfortable and well-stocked. Communication and checking in was incredibly easy. There were a few things we had questions/concerns about and everything was responded to and addressed/answered immediately. We spent so much time outside-it was a great "reset" for us to get away from the city and into nature. We would definitely come back to this property! "

"Stayed here for three nights with 4 others. The grounds and the home itself are more worn down than the photos online portray. While quaint and fascinating in some respects, it is an old, historical home in need of renovations and more upkeep. We took issue with all the bugs in the house, the cleanliness (my aunt had to re-wash her bedding because it looked like someone had slept in it and the coffee maker was dirty inside, for example), and the lack of AC. The second and third floors have split AC units and they did not work well. The owner gave us instructions to troubleshoot, which involved resetting the breaker, but we felt they should have offered to come help us. Please note that as of April 2026, they are building a tasting room next door (this is now listed in the posting). The first evening of our visit, the construction workers were there working on the roof until 8:30pm. Apart from some noise, there are no window dressings on the second and third floor bathrooms, we were hesitant to shower. To their credit, the owner did remedy this on day 2 and we didn’t have any further issues. Generally speaking, the owner was good at communicating and took our concerns seriously, though I personally wouldn't stay here again. If you like a more rustic feel, then you’ll probably really enjoy this."

"I needed extra beds for a family visit, so we did not spend much time in the house. However, it is a very well stocked home if you want to cook. I slept in the Murphy bed, it was comfortable. I could imagine someone who needed to work/write could enjoy this just-the-right-size home. For its size, it feels spacious. Quiet, adorable, and close to so much. Owner communication was excellent! We will be back!"

"We had such a lovely weekend staying here. Eddie, the property manager, was wonderful, check-in and check-out were incredibly easy, and the house was spotless. It truly felt like staying in a family home, and we were treated like family during our stay.The location is the perfect distance from Harpers Ferry, with great trails, delicious restaurants, and wineries nearby. The views from the house and surrounding area were absolutely out of this world, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place for a relaxing getaway. Thank you for having us Mountain Mama! "

"This house was exactly what our friend group was looking for for our annual reunion gathering. It has all the modern amenities, upgrades and comforts but still retains all of its rustic feel. there was a mountain of firewood for the outdoor firepit and the two indoor wood stoves. plenty of pots, pans, dishes etc in the kitchen. and comfortable sitting areas to gather. just a short drive to harper’s ferry, hikes, brewery. and leigh was great to work with and very responsive. can’t say enough good things about the house. "
