I liked the walk in shower but the bathroom was very cold. There was limited dinning available. Too many add on charges not listed in advance. A $20 per day add on for water, coffee and small boxes of cereal. No one to take your luggage to your room. Parking at $40 per day was four blocks away so the car valet had to walk to get the car.

Great staff give everybody a livable wage! The welcome desk was awesome and the valet parking was great! Treat your employees good because they do a great job and are very friendly!

This is a historic luxury hotel in the center of Providence, RI. The hotel is full of early 20th century artwork and furniture; as a historic building the hallways and passages have many corners, but that contributes to the style. The staff is excellent, very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we were in a hurry and had only one night.

This was a great location for our trip. Very walkable to pretty much all places we were planning to go to. There were only two issues we had. One was that our shower did not get hot. The other was that we saw the valet hitting the curb 2x with vehicles that were not ours. We did not complain about either, so I do not put a lot of stock into this issue. I believe that if I would have raised an issue, the front desk staff would have addressed them. With every other part of our experience with the property was fine.

My Expedia reservation wasn't in the system and I was over-billed as a result of the confusion. The desk person was accommodating given the circumstances and the over-charge was resolved without much trouble after the fact.

The hotel was great but we were stepping over homeless people on the sidewalk when we walked there in the evening and left in the morning.

Not stated anywhere on Expedia that there isn’t a parking lot. It was a surprise when we had to pay an extra 40$ per car to park. Homeless people literally outside the front door. Not worth 250$ a night.

Location was fine for what I was doing room was a nice size however the wall paper is peeling in quite a few place Check in was just ok person at the desk was not in uniform so didn’t know who he was at first and didn’t let me know about my 15 voucher for food/drink parking is way overpriced

Inside the building was fantastic. Building is a bit dated but kept up well, the rooms were nice. I wish the hotel had a self service parking lot instead of having to pay an extra 35 to park or 40 to have valet parking. The area around the hotel is pretty gross. Homeless dude in a tarp on the corner with rancid pee smells, people smoking meth across the street. Not an amazing area.

This is a nice historic hotel. We seemed to be the only two people staying at this hotel, as we didn't hardly see another soul. The only rather unsettling thing was that there were quite a few homeless people on that street, and sleeping nearby. I wouldn't have wanted to do much walking around there alone. But the staff was very nice, things went smoothly, and the valet would bring your car to you in a very quick time.

Our hotel room was dirty. There were stains on the box spring cover, one of which appeared to be blood. Dust on the shades & cobwebs on the ceiling. I called the front desk and was told the manager was no longer there and to call in the morning. We went to the restaurant for dinner and after we were seated, no one ever came to take our order or even offer us drinks. However, we watched as multiple tables, who had been seated after us, were greeted and placed their orders. I understand the restaurant was busy and very clearly understaffed, but we did not receive an apology and the waiter could not have been more rude when we finally decided to get up and leave. We waited almost 30 minutes. Very disappointing.

I love the old Architecture style of the inside of the building, it has a lot of character and style! What I don't like about staying Providence is that the parking is not included in the hotel cost!
