Nice, clean place to stay. Their complimentary breakfast was better than we had seen elsewhere and offered a nice variety including some Lo-cal options. The only things I would have changed were: they had a dispenser for soap and shampoo in the shower rather than providing little bottles. I can see that this approach saves them money, but doesn't seem as sanitary. It would have been nice to have a bellhop, but I really didn't expect one there.
My wife and two kids, (2 and 5) decided to stay here as a last minute labor day get away. We had stayed at the hotel before the renovations and while there is still some work going on it has been nicely improved. The new pool areas were great for both kids and adults. The construction still going on did not bother us and really away from the activities. Food was great as usual, staff was polite and always eager to help, rooms where clean. We were able to leave the kids in the kids retreat area and venture to the adult pool which was a nice escape. This hotel has something for everyone and we will be back.
Location is fine. The initial room I was given was dirty and had not been cleaned from the previous guest. The tub looked stained with dirt. The top covers were dirty with slight stains. Overall the room was fine but these were my concerns.
Northwest San Antonio’s gentle, rolling hills mark the transition from prairie to Texas Hill Country. In a nod to the local history and geology, The Rim entertainment and retail complex is housed inside a former quarry. Nearby, The Shops at La Cantera angle for well-heeled consumers. This area is also home to two major theme parks: Six Flags Fiesta Texas and SeaWorld San Antonio.
