The home is very close to the lake but not directly on it. The house is very nicely appointed and everything we needed was at our fingertips. It is an older upscale neighborhood and as comfortable as they come. It was a great stay.

A perfect place to stay for our visit to the U of Alabama. Quiet, peaceful, treelined neighborhood with a view of the lake, and just a short drive to Bryant-Denny. Access was easy, and the house was clean with all of the basic necessities we needed to be comfortable. We’d gladly stay here again next time we’re in Tuscaloosa. Roll Tide!

Great Stay

Place was nice and clean. Owner was very communicated very well. Checked in made sure things were fine. Answered all my questions promptly. Very nice and quiet neighborhood, just a walk away to the lake for fishing, and fairly close to the community pool! Was very pleased! Thank you for everything!

Great place, great host

This comfortable home was exactly as we expected. It’s suited our needs perfectly. We had a small problem with the coffee machine, but the host responded immediately, & went above & beyond to remedy the situation. He definitely had our best interest in mind. The setting of the home is beautiful and peaceful. It was a joy to stay there, and we would gladly do it again.

Nice older home in quiet neighborhood

The house was as described. Older place but nicely kept. The owners were great about checking in with us to see if we needed anything. We enjoyed the stay. Northwoods area is very hilly/wooded without sidewalks so if you like walks, you need to be careful, but I still did them everyday! :-) Several stop signs and speed tables along the way to slow down traffic due to blind corners.

The good and Bad

The good, the host was great at alerting us to the storm warnings and providing procedures to get to storm shelters if needed. The bad, the plastic mattress covers were very noisy and uncomfortable. I understand that mold in a humid climate can be problematic. Possibly a better brand would be better.
