About this property

Belclare - Vineyard Estate

  • Belclare sits on nearly five acres of vineyard at the northern tip of the Leelanau Peninsula. A 1909 Craftsman farmhouse paired with a 2020 addition, offering five bedrooms plus extra sleeping space, three full baths, and room for everyone to gather or spread out.

On the main floor of the farmhouse, quarter-sawn oak trim, bird's-eye maple accents, original stained glass fixtures, and wide hardwood floors set the tone. Gather around the dining room's built-in buffet, relax in the heated sunroom porch, or cook a full meal together in the main kitchen. Also on the main floor is a flex room with a TV and gathering space or use as a bedroom with a queen sofa bed and its own full bath.

Upstairs, you'll find three more bedrooms and a full bath. One bedroom has a king bed and a crib for guests traveling with little ones, and two more each have a queen bed. There are also two additional queen beds in the upstairs common area for larger groups.

A light-filled hallway connects the farmhouse to the 2020 addition, home to a tasting room with a contemporary sitting room, a soapstone kitchenette, and a wet bar. This all flows onto the patio through two foot bifold doors that allow you to open the wall for a indoor outdoor experience. Up in the tasting room's loft is one more queen bed and a futon on the main level.

Outside, there's a back patio with a gas grill, a hammock, and a fenced yard for pet-friendly stays. Fast Spectrum internet and air conditioning keep things comfortable, and at night, the dark skies here make for some of the best stargazing in northern Michigan.

Northport's beaches, marina, restaurants, and shops are just minutes away, and M-22 is a short drive if you want to explore further down the peninsula.

Guests area able to access the main house and tasting room. The property including the potting shed are also available for guest use. The garage is locked for storage of vineyard equipement

Check-in and out are all contactless but the hosts are available for any questions.

Please call between the hours of 11 pm and 7 am for emergencies. Messages on the app will be answered during waking hours.

Northport is only accessible by car so please plan to drive. You can bike around the area once you're here including into Northport or up to the Leelanau State Park.

Please note this is a working vineyard. There may be people onsite tending to grapes. They may access the garage where equipment is stored.

The tasting room has central air conditioning but the main house has window AC units in the bedrooms only.
