"Beautiful design and a great location, but "lean luxury" concept lacks basic comfort and service.
Apparently, this is a "lean luxury" hotel, which is something the staff should really explain to first-time guests. It turns out "lean" means no room phone, no room service, no fridge, no coffee/tea facilities, and zero amenities.
We booked this for an overnight layover after a frustrating flight cancellation. Exhausted from travel, the last thing we wanted was to do the staff's job by entering our own data into the system and activating our own room cards at check-in. We got the "Cozy Room" for our short stay, but it was incredibly small—the bathroom sink was literally out in the hallway. For $600/ night it's fair to expect a bit more.
That said, the breakfast was wonderful, and the bar/restaurant area is absolutely beautiful. Just be aware of what you are sacrificing for the aesthetic."
