Rooms were nice and spacious, basic but good facilities, bathroom could do with some updating but otherwise good! Breakfast was lovely, good options and service

Nice hotel
Lovely hotel in a great village location. Very much a quaint hotel but the cleaning of the room could have been better. The bathroom let the room down and it needed some decoration doing to it.

Quality stay
Very nice hotel. Our room was attractive and comfortable. We found it a little hot but the fan helped. There was a good big bath and shower in a roomy bathroom. The staff were friendly and approachable and we felt very welcome. The pub has a warm and friendly atmosphere. We had a lovely meal in the bar - excellent quality and very tasty. Breakfast was also of a high standard. Easy to park nearby. Would definitely stay here again.

King size please
Two nights in this beautiful little town. The George is a real treat good old fashioned charming pub and restaurant. Excellent professional friendly staff, our only disappointment was the size of the bed. A regular double in a room large enough for a king and more comfortable for two cuddly adults. Overall excellent stay Thankyou to the staff at the George

TB up the villa
The George in Easingwold is ok small bedroom but comfortable evening menu could do with a look at breakfast fantastic very good choice wines and beers owner/manager Paul decent guy seems to go out of his way to please clients all round enjoyable 2nights stay PS think he is refurbing shortly june 2023

A day after the races
Lovely hotel, excellent food and great service by the staff. A credit to all involved, who looked after our party of six returning from the races very professionally. Well worth visiting

Lovely pub/hotel with excellent food
We stayed four nights. We had dinner in the hotel on the first night, which was really excellent. Good choice of interesting and well cooked dishes, served by pleasant and helpful staff. On the other nights we had commitments elsewhere so, sadly, couldn’t sample more of the menu. Breakfasts were very good, albeit fairly limited cereal selection. Our room, in the rear extension, was very comfortable. Easingwold is a good base for exploring North Yorkshire.

The hotel is located in a very pleasant Yorkshire village, and was easy to find

Food was excellent both dinners and breakfasts with grea helpful staff. Bar service and quality was good with some nice beers. However the bed was very uncomfortable and the room noisy with music till midnight and furniture being moved aroiund somewhere on a hard floor. Kept us awake. Room was rather tired and requests for milk for the 2nd night not dealt with.

Overnight stay. We had a lovely double room overlooking the market place. We had already eaten Sunday Dinner but enjoyed celeriac and onion soup from their Sunday dinner menu. Breakfast was very nice with plenty of choice.

Lovely place to stay with an excellent restaurant
The rooms were excellent. Very clean and well equipped. Very friendly staff. Great breakfast and the dinner in the restaurant was fantastic too. The hotel is in a good location in Easingwold which is a nice village and good access to places of interest in the area.

The food here is excellent .wish I lived here I'd eat here all the time .rooms are unfussy but have a bygone era charm and are very very clean .service is second to none .

3 night break. Staff were wonderful, all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast excellent, had an evening meal one night which was also excellent value and very good. Decor in the dining room is very dated and extremely dull which is why we chose to eat out the other nights. Rooms were also very dated.

The George is In a beautiful village located a short drive from York. The restaurant was great and the staff were friendly and very helpful. Our rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable.

The George, the Gem.
Beautiful little village just a short drive to York center. bus stop literally across the road from the George hotel to York. The George is a stunning little hotel in picturesque village, the staff are brilliant, very welcoming. The food is exceptional the steak burger is a real must have. It's a quaint hotel narrow stair case, tiny doors to room, very clean, room 3 has a massive bathroom. My only observation is the bed was very small for 2 people. If you want a clean, authentic well staffed relaxing short stay this is the place, if it's modern, flash and brash try York and pay fortunes. Will definitely stay again, thank you

Fabulous Hotel
What a great hotel right in the centre of Easingwold, Great service from friendly and helpful staff. Very Covid aware with lots in place to keep you safe. Good food and good selection of drinks at a good price. Would recomend this to anyone.
