Super location within easy reach of shops and the amazing SJT theatre. Very friendly and helpful throughout my stay with comfortable, clean rooms and a cosy restaurant and bar. The food was always excellent - with a good range of drinks. Very happy to return again.

Stayed for 3 nights nice people who work there Marina,Nadia and Morag could not do enough location opposite circular park sunshine comes through breakfast room window in morning very pleasant will stay there again. On my own was made very welcome thanks Jack.

Lovely weekend
Had a brilliant few nights at The Crescent Hotel with my elderly mum - all staff were really lovely and couldn’t do enough for us - the food was excellent - especially the afternoon tea - will definitely return.

Shame about the cricket
Hotel was comfortable, food was excellent and staff were both friendly and helpful. Location was very convenient - near the centre of town and the railway station. I would certainly stay there again

Fantastic hotel and well run.
Staff were really helpful and always went the extra mile. Hotel is great and only a few minor gripes which would make my rating a 9 rather than 10. Bathroom door snagged on the floor and breakfast room needs soft furnishings as very noisy. On the whole, would and will revisit.

In a good position central. Dog friendly. Staff pleasant. We booked 3 double rooms all 3 good size but all very different inside decorated and cleanliness varied hate shower curtains. And one room very basic but charged same

The room is clean and cozy. Since the room hasn't got air conditioning, it is a bit too warm if you don't keep the windows open.

Excellent hotel
The staff at the hotel are superb. Nothing too much trouble. Good food choice and very good waitress service at breakfast time. Room very clean and supplies topped up every day. Hotel in good location, close to shops and theatre, not far from the seafront. TV and WiFi in room. My only complaint is the bed wasn't very comfy. Also, be aware, there is a lift at the hotel but this doesn't service all rooms and there are stairs to some rooms. This wasn't a problem for me but for anybody who does have a problem with stairs then they should mention this when booking.

Perfect, quality hotel excellent location
I have been staying at the Crescent for 54 years. It is now back to genteel splendour and proper Yorkshire hospitality. Breakfasts are excellent, cooked exactly as you like it. Nothing is too much trouble. Congenial bar in the evening and exciting menu in the restaurant. All at reasonable prices.

Very well situated just a two minute walk from the town centre. The staff are superb and will go out of there way to make your stay enjoyable. Lovely room, very clean. Food is excellent.

Lovely hotel-wonderful staff-great food - helpings are huge. Central position ideal for theatre and shopping and beach.No car park but you get permits from hotel put 1/2 hour on pay and display - wardens are unforgiving.

Comfortable hotel in the centre of town
We were well looked after in this comfortable hotel which is in the centre of Scarborough in a pleasant crescent. But parking can be a bit difficult at times if you have a car. The food was well presented and tasty and there was a good choice for people who like a cooked breakfast.

Rude service !
Very unfriendly welcome with lady explaining about parking in a rude way. I had no change for £4 permit so said could I put it on my card. I was told NO as had to be minimum £10 card spend. I said I would order drinks later and was told - "well that's ok- but cant you walk to a cash machine and just get the money out!!"

Great location
This was our first visit to Scarborough and the Crescent proved to be a great base to explore the area. The Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Parking is a bit of an issue as it is on street and the local Parking Wardens are on the case at all times. We had a room at the rear of the Hotel which faced on to a busy road with a lot of noise late at night from local drinkers. The room was ok if a little dated. Breakfast was excellent with a great choice available and friendly service. Overall it was an ok experience.

It's the first time I have stayed but I would gladly return, staff were very helpful and courteous nothing was to much trouble, I was here for one night and been to a few in town on other occasions but this was far better. Don't miss the chance to dine in the restaurant one of the best meals I have had on my many nights away in the month.

My room at the Crescent was spotlessly clean, cosy and comfortable, staff were welcoming and polite, the shower was powerful, the toiletries were nice, the towels were big - and best of all the wifi was included in the cost of the room, and worked like a dream. As a cherry on top they have BBC News on the TV which most British hotels don't seem to (I can't tell you how happy these last two things made me). I can't join everyone else in praising the breakfast as I slept in due to the extremely cushy bed, but I'm not very angry about this. When I'm next in Scarborough, I'll definitely stay here if I can.
