Empty promises
All smoke alarms were removed, probably by the previous renter. The entire living area strong smell of burnt marijuana for most of stay. Second floor smelled of something I can’t even describe. Wet stains on carpet second floor remained during our stay. Couldn’t even clean furniture because couches and dining room chairs were cloth. Adjoining renter left a massive amount of trash in trash area, then one day renters after that did same thing. The entire area stank by mid week and neighbors were complaining to us....we took care of all of our own trash and stayed far away from trash area due to odor.
I understand that there are times that renters abuse the property, but the prop manager did not address smoke alarms leaving us unsafe or trash after saying it would be addressed. Property had potential, but I would never rent there again or use VRBO in the future because the owners were full of excuses and we had no recourse.
