Lovely accommodation in the Honeysuckle suite, very quiet and spotlessly clean. All needs catered for and bottles of water and milk for tea and coffee replenished daily. Very friendly professional hosts and the breakfast was delicious. Great location for motorway and central to many interesting parts of North Wales but set off the main road by a long driveway. Would stay again.
We had the best time. We had a lovely room, with loads of space. Comfy bed, good water pressure, modern telly and coffee station with a Nespresso. We were lucky to have an amazing weather and we didn’t get to spend much time in the b&b, which is a shame. The hosts took care of everything and were really helpful with dinning recommendations. We’ll definitely come back and recommend it to our friends.
An absolute fantastic place to stay. The accommodation was perfect, clean and spacious.
The owners could do enough to accommodate your needs.
As for the breakfast, best I’ve had in a good while and plenty of it.
It is so rare for anywhere to be perfect. But this place is from arrival to departure. Very comfortable bedroom spacious bathroom and a delicious breakfast.
Excellent guest house run by a very friendly couple who couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. Despite the restaurant mentioned in the outline I had to go to local pub (recommended by Patrick) for an excellent meal. Breakfast here was excellent. If you can afford the extra £20, go for Forget Me Not suite, luxurious and spacious!
Stayed in the guesthouse for 3 nights as part of a business trip. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming. There was a power cut in the area due to bad weather and they even went to the trouble of providing everybody torches and finding out which pubs in the local area had power. The room was huge anf very comfy. Breakfast was incredible especially the local black pudding.
Fabulous hotel near our HQ but in beautiful countryside at the foot of the Rhuallt Hill, A B&B but with separate lodge style rooms, excellent large rooms en-suite with everything you want and Wi-Fi, Breakfast was exceptional. Sara and Patrick are really attentive hosts. A really great place to stay I will be back!
Great room with lovely views. Very welcoming and helpful owners. Room spotless with everything you could want, comfortable bed, great WIFI. Nice local pub for evening meal.
Don’t normally stay in B&B’s or guest houses but had really great experience here booking this!
Greeted with very warm welcome from the exceptional owners/hosts.
Stayed in the Snowdrop suite, which was immaculately clean, spacious and very modern, and have to say the bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on!
Perfectly cooked full welsh breakfast with tea and fresh juice topped off a very lovely stay, and would highly recommend and certainly come back if working in the area again
Able to relax after busy days , a real home from home with everything one could wish for.
Easy to talk to and attentive husband and wife team who were genuinely interested in their guests .
Goood breakfast
Friendly welcome, with homemade cake each afternoon. Excellent breakfasts - the smoked salmon scrambled eggs the best. Honesty bar great for evening drink. Always ready to provide advice on traveling around the countryside. Easy access from A55. The Daisy room was roomy with large bathroom. Plenty of power points and kettle, iron etc. No one could be disappointed with this home away from home.
fabulous stay, room was warm and inviting fresh milk for tea and coffee a welcome bonus. Owners could not do enough for me,nothing to much bother. Breakfast one of the best Black pudding to die for
Great flying visit!! Shame I couldn't stay longer!
Staying overnight for work - lovely clean room, great breakfast, friendly hosts, great little extra touches which made all the difference. Thank you for a very comfortable stay.
Beautiful surroundings and guesthouse. Hosts are warm and friendly. Very clean and all that you expect in a countryside guesthouse - fabulous ! Most certainly would return and recommend.
sara was very welcoming and friendly. Rooms a good size with a lovely en-suite bathroom complete with a window. Fresh milk is always nicer than the "long life" type many b & b offer. Can highly recommend to everyone looking for a place to stay in Wales. Easy to find - straight off the A55.
Arrived late due to traffic, found delightful establishment run by lovely couple. Nice room, lovely breakfast and nothing too much trouble. Planning to take my wife to stay
This was a break over Easter to explore a little bit of North Wales. This proved to be an excellent choice of guest house. There was nothing at all to fault. Sara and Patrick are lovely hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them. We will definitely be back possibly with some family or friends
First class service. Started when we arrived around 6pm in darkness. Sat Nav code was generic so got us within a few hundred yards but we couldn't find it. Called owners who were very helpful to guide us in (location down a lane) and in fact we met them walking up the lane to look for us.
Extremely friendly and the breakfast was second to none
The stay was way too short. This stay was made only a day before, because of a change in plans. We would have loved to stay longer if we could. The owners were very friendly and helpful with directions on our trip into Liverpool. Everything was top notch.
My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights. In short, everything was excellent. A friendly welcome from Sarah got us off to a good start and she was more than happy to give us some advice on things to do in the local area. We had a double room (not a suite) which was spacious and had a big bathroom with walk in shower. Everything was spotless and it all worked ( hot water etc). Bed was huge and comfortable. Kettle, tea, coffee and fresh milk in the small fridge all nice touches. Breakfast was excellent. We have no hesitation in recommending you stay here. Sarah and Patrick deserve the 5 stars we and everyone else gives them.
This is an excellent hotel with warm personal hospitality and very comfortable rooms. The freshly cooked breakfasts with local produce are just magic! Would highly recommend.
Wonderful stay. The hosts, Sara and Patrick Murphy, are exceptional. The accomodations are spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed. Bed linens, tea set, refrigerator stocked with fresh milk - every touch was wonderful. Breakfasts were a treat every day. Look forward to staying again!
This was our second stay in Tan-yr-onnen and we had looked forward to our return visit. We were treated like old friends and Patrick and Sarah do make you feel so very welcome. The breakfasts are great and if you are lucky enough to dine there, those three course dinners of Sarah's are wonderful. Top restaurant quality. Lovely garden and fun to watch the birds feeding from the hangers, as well as the nut pinching squirrels and the handsome pheasants wandering in the adjoining meadows.
We are already looking forward to our next UK trip and would never consider staying anywhere other in Wales than Tan-Yr-Onnen.
