Idk where to start and yes! This was my first time ever in South Carolina . But I want to say It was very concerning and disappointing that their was no heads up as to the condition of the hotel prior to guest checking in . I walked into a gutted out , dust in the air and heavy LOUD construction going on in the MAIN lobby . Get upstairs to a decent size room that had a strange scent from the carpets in the hallway leading into the room . Balcony doors looked like they weren’t wiped down in months , looked like their was mold on the side of the windowsill in the bedroom , stains on the side of the fridge that are very noticeable so I’m assuming no one in house keeping cared to ever clean it because it’s permanent now, just overall WOW!!… I couldn’t believe this is how this hotel represented themselves . No Caution signs in site from the wet steps outside to the crazy lobby that had some parts held with blue scotch tape(I’m assuming that was the caution sign) . Never seen a cleaning person come to refresh towels or tighten up the room. (if Covid was the reason why cleaning ppl weren’t cleaning rooms then I definitely should of walked into a cleaner /sanitized establishment from the lobby to my bedroom and that truly was not the case at ALL .) .I spent a lot of money on my room and I truly feel it was not worth it . People were pretty friendly and helpful but this place truly needs some serious revamping/remodeling in ALL aspects . I truly understand that Every place has to go through renovations, I get it … But to not notify guest prior to the conditions of your establishment is totally unacceptable. I would love for someone to reach out to me so we can discuss this matter further .
