Nice property with beautiful inner courtyard including swimming pool. Rooms are comfortable but somewhat worn. Be sure to book directly with them to save money. The only downside is that the property is close to a railroad crossing and you can hear the trains blow their horns at all hours of the night. If you're a light sleeper I would skip this property.
My stay was going well until we were woken up from loud noise coming from the 14th floor where our room was. The hotel was renovating and knowingly put us on a floor where work was going to take place. Therefore disrupting our sleep that morning due to renovation noises from the contract staff.
Group of my friends and I stayed here for three nights. The front desk staff was awesome and the rooms was cleaned. Housekeeping staff was helpful and respectful. Only con was the carpet was a lil damp maybe from cleaning and made the room have a weird smell... nothing unbearable. Breakfast was okay.
It was cheap, so I wasn't expecting much. The AC is really loud. Every time you use the sink I had to put my hand in it to let the water down. & the elevators were dirty, other than that the bed was comfortable & staff was great. I only stayed for one night, wouldn't be a hotel I would suggest you stay at for any longer.
Although North Fort Lauderdale is mostly residential, many visitors go to enjoy the surf at Pompano Beach and Deerfield Beach. Abundant marine life in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea makes for excellent diving. Just north of downtown, Wilton Manors is a well-known gay enclave. In Coconut Creek, butterflies, parrots, and hummingbirds fly freely at Butterfly World, the world's largest butterfly park.
