9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (94 reviews)
"This is a unique opportunity to stay in a historic cabin with a very nice lake. The cabin was great as were the amenities around the lake including boats and bikes. Breakfast was also nice. However, the restaurant was not in operation the night of my stay and other food options are not very close, so you must plan ahead. Staff was very nice."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Norrhult?
The best area to stay in Norrhult is within the village centre itself, particularly near the main street, Storgatan.

Norrhult is a small, welcoming village in the heart of Småland, and its centre is where you'll find the most amenities. Storgatan is the main thoroughfare, lined with a few local shops and eateries. The village is compact, making it easy to get around on foot, and it's surrounded by the serene Swedish countryside with its forests and lakes.

For families, staying in the village centre provides easy access to local conveniences and the nearby recreational opportunities. The area around the sports field and community hall often hosts local events, and the proximity to Lake Örken means you're never far from swimming or fishing spots. There are also generally playgrounds available for children within a short walk.

For those seeking a quiet escape and a connection with nature, the areas just outside the immediate village centre, but still within a few kilometres, offer lovely holiday homes and cabins. These often provide more space and direct access to the forests for walks or cycling, while still being a short drive from Norrhult's amenities.
When is the best time to go to Norrhult?
The best time to visit Norrhult is during the summer months, from June to August, when the weather is mild and the days are long.

During this period, temperatures typically range from 18°C to 22°C (64°F to 72°F), making it pleasant for outdoor activities. The extended daylight hours, with the sun often setting late in the evening, provide ample time to explore the natural beauty of the region. This is ideal for those who enjoy being outdoors and making the most of every day.

Families often find the summer great for visiting, as the lakes are suitable for swimming and many local attractions, such as moose parks and glassworks, operate with extended hours. It's also a great time for activities like cycling or hiking through the forests.

For those who appreciate fewer crowds and cooler temperatures, late spring (May) or early autumn (September) can also be a good option.
