"In between ski season and summer season catering for bus tours and us. Bar and restaurant closed. Electronic check in so no human to ask questions. A little out of town but we enjoyed the walk. Cleaners tried to help with our questions and the breakfast staff apologized for the chaos left by the bus tour. I don’t recall their website mentioning that there would be no check in staff between April and June."

"Fantastic place to come in May when the skiing season is virtually over and the price drops before the summer. High end resort for a very reasonable price. Wonderful atmosphere in the lodge with open fires and views over to Gaustatoppen mountain."

"We stopped in Geilo for 1 night on our way to Flåm during our wedding anniversary trip. We appreciated that the hotel staff gave us a complimentary upgrade to a suite. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. We loved how the hotel had a complimentary sauna to use - no one else was using it while we were there so it was very relaxing! Super clean as well. We had to leave early the next morning before the hotel breakfast even started, so we asked if we could get breakfast to go from their restaurant. The staff were happy to help us with that and our breakfast was ready at the front desk when we checked out. We ate our dinner at the hotel restaurant, which was good. We both got moose burgers and shared a local cheese plate. The resto is worth checking out. Thanks for a great stay!"

"We had a fabulous 2 night stopover in Dr Holms between Bergen & Oslo. The staff are a credit to the hotel especially Julia on reception who was really helpful & Karin (i think thats the spelling) who worked in the restaurant. She was so friendly & knowledgeable about places for us to see on our stopover. The breakfast buffet was one of the best we've had, there was a great choice for everyone in our party & the kitchen staff were accommodating of any requests. I was on the 2nd floor & my room was lovely, with amazing views of the mountains. We loved the quirkyness of the hotel & there was lots of nooks & crannies for us to explore. It was warm & sunny during our stay & it was great to have the balcony on the first floor to sit out on to enjoy it. The only minor disappointments were that both Jacuzzis were out of commission during our stay. Some more vegetarian options in the sports bar & diner would have been welcomed too but other than that, we wouldn't hesitate to return "

"Beautiful stay in bright large apartment. Beds were comfortable, kitchen had everything you need. We had a mountain view/view of ski slopes and it was beautiful with the large windows. You do need to bring your own towels and bedsheets (bedding itself provided) or you can rent them. All amenities like pool are at an additional cost. Easily walkable to town center, hiking trails and slopes though during ski season till mid April a ski bus takes you for free. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend. "

"A great stay on my trip as a middle crossing point in Geilo, en route to Oslo from Bergen; it is within close walking distance from restaurants/shops, the information centre and of course the train station - as well as both having a restaurant/drinks counter (including tea and Starbucks coffee selections) and a nice swimming pool/jacuzzi/sauna in their building to access was also great for my short stay! Plus the staff were very nice and helpful when it came to check in/check out and drink orders. A definite recommend, especially if you're into nature walks, hiking or skiing close by to your accommodation. :)"
