We love Aruba, was an amazing trip. Beaches are wonderful, it is very safe. The hotel it is very small and old but very clean. Good for cauples with out children. We went out in a car by ourself and in a tour, we love it.

Staff was friendly and accommodating. The resort is gorgeous with plenty of space to lounge at the pool and beach. We celebrated our honeymoon at this resort 30 years ago when it was the Americana, and returned for our 30 year anniversary. The staff surprised us with a bottle of champagne in our room. Great experience! Highly recommend this resort!!

The property was excellent. The food selections were great. The proximity to off property shopping and restaurants was fantastic. Very walkable area. Everyone is extremely helpful and friendly. Staff is exceptional and service is great but the building and rooms are very dated and the furniture in the rooms as well as common areas are too old to be comfortable or clean. Very little entertainment in the resort and the two pool tables in the lobby were out of service all week. If you are staying here, best to plan excursions and off resort activities. Food was ok, but it is a lot of the same things all week - much better food just outside the resort at the restaurants. Beach was clean and we could find chairs and spots quite easily at any time we went.

The restaurants was really good and the pool and beach was good. One big complaint was they don’t have enough beach towels for their guests I went first day at 4 pm no towels I said ok it late then day 2 I went at 10 am still no towels. Other thing was one of our beds was sunken in like broken. Staff was nice.

Most of the staff were great. The resort could use some updating with newer furniture as some were not clean looking. They had entertainment nightly at 10pm that was good except for 1 show; maybe a comedian show would be a suggestion. The restaurants were nice with excellent good. The buffet’s food was ok, like must buffets food about the same daily. Housekeeping always left a different amounts or the type of towels may be different. Washcloths were not given; got the run around when trying to get a couple. I know it seems like I’m complaining but all in all I liked the resort, its location and the staff made it better. The “Lobby Bar” had great bartenders and really made the trip more enjoyable. I would go back.

My stay was awesome. All inclusive was an excellent choice. The food is great. Everyone is so friendly. I also loved the ballroom had an event every night. The swimming pool with the pool bar was a plus. The only complaint I have plus other people agreed, they would run out of towels at the pool. That is unacceptable. Then when I asked how long, they told me it could be a while. I recommend coming to Barcelo. I would definitely come again. I’ll just bring my room towel to the pool just in case.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. The hotel was super tidy and clean. The food and entertainment were very good. The pool and the bar with the easy beach access made it a great place to stay in Aruba. Highly recommend for anybody traveling to Aruba to consider the Barcelo.
