Simple guest house by the river, has a restaurant. Clean rooms, staff exelent ,meters from the promenade, bars and restaurants. Have stayed before, will stay again.
Nice guesthouse with a view to Mekong and Laos. Unfortunately quite a lot of noise from a huge construction site just next to our room. The restaurant is good.
Amazing little gem directly on the embankment of the mighty Mekong River. Simple down to earth hotel with a hint of pure nature. Loved it!!! Nothing flash but very comfortable and friendly. We will be back🤗
Returning to Nong Khai for the first time in years. Mut Mee transported me back to those times. Staff was helpful. It’s located central Nong Khai so easy to walk to where you need or get tuk tuk’s if going a bit further. On the River so great for waking up and relaxing on the lakeside.
The photographs are quite accurate and portray the room as it really is. My room did not have a/c or a bathroom but the evenings were cool enough with the fan and the bathroom was shared between two rooms so that was easy. The hotel is charming, the staff helpful, the bikes in reasonable condition, and the location fantastic. Same day laundry service was wonderful.
Bed too hard, but otherwise everything was good...
Great location looking out at the Mekong River. The room was fine except there were some tiny ants looking for food on the lamp table and the bed was too hard to allow me to sleep comfortably on my side. If you sleep on your back, then no problem....
Mut Mee Gardens is exactly what I hoped for in a tropical guesthouse. The rooms were well-cared for and accommodating, without ostentation. It's a casual place where you easily can spend the day lounging on your room's veranda or under a common palapa in the gardens. The gardens, and most rooms, face the promenade along the Mekong, so you can walk - or borrow one of their bikes - for miles along the river, and there's little if any motor vehicle noise. The street markets are nearby, either along the promenade or a couple blocks inland. There's a very friendly resident dog and a couple of cats. Mosquitoes are present, of course, but each room has a mosquito net for the bed, as well as aircon. Food is good; coffee could use some attention. It's a lovely garden and inn.
Nice location right on the Mekong.
Property itself is very average with limited facilities, old furniture and uncomfortable bed and the parking is virtually non existent.
Good place except for 1 specific point: The ad did not specify "Fan Only" which believe they should. We found out only when we arrived and was not allowed to cancel lest we lose everything we paid: so we had to top up 75% more to get the air cond room.
.
It is my opinion that this was "sneaky advertising".
However, we are not disputing that this was a nice place.
Very few Hotels are the same [in reality] as their Promotion Pictures. This one is.
There is construction underway at present but, the noise is during Business Hours.
