"We stayed at this property recently and had a mixed experience.Positives first: the location was excellent, especially the lakeside setting. The HVAC system worked well, communication with the host was good, and we appreciated the stocked supplies (trash bags, dishwasher pods) and access to streaming services.However, there were several concerns future guests should be aware of:* A non-functioning refrigerator on the back porch had visible mold inside.* We observed mold/mildew under one sink, and there was a noticeable mildew odor in parts of the home. Towels also smelled musty and needed to be washed before use.* Shower drainage was slow, and there was visible mildew on the shower curtains.* The hot tub was leaking onto the deck, creating standing water, debris, and increased bugs/mosquitoes, so we avoided the back porch.* A window would not lock, raising safety concerns.* An accessible lower-level/basement area appeared unmaintained, with no clear restriction or secure separation. It looked like a storage space with clutter and was visible from the exterior patio.* The dock and exterior areas showed signs of disrepair, with loose and stored items making the property feel cluttered.Overall, while the location and some amenities were enjoyable, the cleanliness and maintenance issues—particularly related to mold and safety—were concerning."
