"An absolute gem in the Bay of Kotor! We had a wonderful stay at Ancora Apartments in Dobrota. The apartment itself was exceptionally clean, beautifully designed, highly functional, and fully equipped with everything we could possibly need. The peaceful and quiet surroundings allowed for complete relaxation. On top of that, the views of the bay—both from the apartment and from the pool area—were simply breathtaking. Highly recommended"

"Hotel is 10/10, that is without a doubt. If you like to do activities outside of the resort, there isn’t anything. It’s a quiet village. This place is truly meant for rest and relaxation. Please be careful how you book your room on Expedia. I booked a room with a sea view and was provided a room with 4 walls. It was hours of going back and forth with management. "Location was walkable to everywhere we wanted to go. Room was as advertised and it was great having a place to relax each night that included a balcony, sofa/TV area, and kitchenette. Staff were very nice. Parking was a little tight and the pool was exceptionally tiny. We did have difficulty finding the place as Google Maps sent us in the wrong direction. It is hidden away at the end of a street and easy to miss if you don't know it is there."

"Even though they said the property was remodeled last year, there were cracks in the floor molding, mold in the shower and wall paper was pealing. Outdoor chair cushion was stained. The view of the water from the ground floor room balcony is hidden by hedges. Breakfast was a huge buffet but not what Americans might be attracted to. Lots of lunch-like savory plates: deli meat, cheese, salad, vegetables. They did offer eggs and fruit and pastries. But I could not recommend the breakfast."

"Please know that you can’t be dropped by taxi to the hotel front door. You get dropped at the gate and let the golf carts take you to the hotel. Note: Getting in and out of Perast is not easy and taxis gouge ya. We took the bus to Kotor and got a taxi there to Tivat airport. The hotel has old world charm with original stones. If you have a faint heart, do not get an upper floor as there is no lift. We were on the 3rd floor and you get winded at the 2nd floor and we are in shape! Good workout. Ha We were a bit disappointed we didn’t get a Sea view room but loved how roomy 303 was. Location is in the heart of Perast. Walkable to restaurants (highly recommend Ehos…please say hello to Vladimir, he is an amazing server), water taxis, the blue line bus stop (take this to Kotor and you must do the cable car/gondola) and the beach. The staff are helpful and available at all hours. You get maid service daily. They will cart you near to the main road when you leave. Overall, Perast is peaceful when the tourist have left for the day and very beautiful. Stay in Kotor if you want a more lively experience."
